A basic, "this is a terrible tragedy which I'm shocked and saddened about. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Lloyd's family." Something like that which actually addresses the question. Makes more sense than basically using the Chewbacca Defense of interviews.

Whoa now, are you telling me hoodie both had an opinion about something and was emotional? I can't wait to see that when I get home. Very out of character. I was expecting another robotic non-answer on the topic.

well all of the questions were on hernandez...but his legal team told him to not to answer any questions about him..so he answered nothing.

His opening statement was the great part.

Quote:
Thirty-one active players were arrested, most infamously star New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. Since the Super Bowl on February 3, NFL players have been arrested for everything from public intoxication to street racing, child abuse, and trying to solicit a prostitute.

The NFL is using the slogan "Back To Football" to promote the upcoming season, but it'll be tough to forget everything that went down this spring and summer.

Using the comprehensive databases of both Pro Football Talk and the San Diego Union Tribune, here's the list of the 31 active players who were arrested:
[Show spoiler]1.Michael Boley, New York Giants (Feb. 8): Arrested for child abuse in Alabama.

They seem to be counting even players that were just on the 90 player roster.

So 90 players x 32 teams = 2,880 players which = 1.1% arrest rate compared to the general poplulation rate which i think is about 4.5%.

So really it aint that bad.

The Cowboys have finally sold naming rights to their stadium, and the stadium is now AT&T Stadium. No word yet on how much money or how long the agreement is for.

Raiders have all of there draft picks signed , that being said, i'll be shocked if we win more then 5 games this year, looking forward to next year when we'll have almost $50 Million in cap space, and a major player in free agency

it doesn't hurt to bring a veteran guy in to have a leader on the team. i wish the Packers would do that once in a while.

Well Al is no longer around to hand out stupid contracts, and we have around $40M dead money this year becuase of his contracts, so it will be a refresher to sign guys who want to play, and not just over pay someone just becuase...

Ryan is still going to play out the final year of his current deal so over 6 years it's worth $113.75 million, or just under $19 million per year.

It will be interesting to see how the deal is structured. Aaron Rodgers deal is structured so the cap hit is fairly consistent so he'll likely play out the entire deal (assuming he stays healthy and effective), whereas Joe Flacco's deal is so backloaded that it's a virtual certainty that they'll need to renegotiate after 3 years.

Jerry Jones changed the name of Cowboys Stadium to "AT&T Stadium". Damn wrinkley bastard, all he cares about is money. Now hopefully my AT&T phone will actually have service inside the stadium at least.

Matt Ryan signed a 5 yr, 103.75 extension. 1 less year, but higher average than Flacco (20.75 vs 20.1)
