We lost to the Super Bowl champs. Nothing to be ashamed of.

It's not like we got obliterated at home by a rookie QB with like 6 games experience.

They have the worst fans? I mean they might... as far as being obnoxious and annoying, but I know of plenty of raiderfan that are loyal (and somewhat delusional) so having htem at the bottom pretty much invalidates any conclusion this report tries to answer.

You have a very weird definition of a mediocre team. Those teams may have had deficiencies, but all teams have those.

Manning's win is the only one I'd say is even close to a mediocre team, but they were blessed with an even more mediocre opponent in the Superbowl.

The problem is that while the Raiders have lots of diehard fans (just like every team), they have boatloads of bandwagon fans from when they were good that jump off when they are bad. Just look at their attendance numbers right now....

The Falcons are the same way, which is why they are right above the Raiders.

We won't have the largest screen for long though. The Jaguars are putting in an even larger screen next year.

Have you looked at the Raiders attendance numbers? They've been at or near the bottom for many years. I think the Jags outdraw Oakland.

They've also been a joke since what 03? Skins have been a joke since the 90s and still were one of the most valuable teams and had great attendance thats why I'd rank them way higher. Cowboys have been favorites or near favorites for a long time so kinda easy to root for a hype machine/ playoff contender when Parcells was there.

But thats just me and why I don't put too much stock into it. I'd love to see other teams numbers if they were to suck for almost two decades.

That might be true, but the Skins always draw huge crowds even when they're terrible. I went back a half dozen or so seasons looking at attendance numbers and Washington is always 80k+ per game, in the top-5 in the NFL. Only a handful of teams consistently pack their stadium even if they stink - Packers, Cowboys, Redskins, Giants, Jets, Broncos and a few others.

The Florida teams seem to be the most elastic in terms of fan support, as we are with all pro sports. Bucs, Dolphins and Jags have been near the bottom in attendance for awhile now. Oddly enough the Florida sports franchise with the most consistent fan support is the Tampa Bay Lightning. I suppose it's all those people who relocated from the northeast latching onto the local NHL team.

Yes, The Magic and Heat get decent numbers even when they stink. Seems like MLB and NFL teams in Florida have the most volatile attendance.

The "Browns Backers" are one of the largest fan clubs on Earth. I didn't check the criteria for calculating these results and was wondering how this was determined?
