Marlins, rays never draw either.

Weird as it sounds the pro team in Florida that seems to have the best fan base is the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ya, a friggin hockey team. Even the Dolphins fans are fair weather and that's as established a team as Florida has.

Marlins are opening a very nice new stadium in 2012 in a good location. How much ya wanna bet attendance still stinks? And I'm a lifelong Floridian who doesn't even root for all the Florida teams. I'm a Braves fan since the Marlins and Rays didn't exist when I was a kid.

Then again even our college football teams are fair weather fans too. Schools like Miami and FSU don't draw anywhere close to what they used to. Only the Gators are consistently sold out.

The Dolphins are likely to be blacked out several times as well. The state of Florida doesn't seem to care much about the NFL.
Florida is one of the few states where High School and College football surpasses NFL in fan base. There are high school football teams in south Florida (Miami, Belle Glades, etc.) that regularly draw over 5,000 fans per game. I prefer the NFL over college football, but not by much.

I'd trade Kyle Orton to the guy with Vick and Manning if he had better depth at RB in my league. Considering taking my TV to work tonight but I doubt I will do it, will probably just settle for running back and forth to check out the action.

Come on Mr. President, hurry it up. I like ya, but you have no business being on TV the same night the NFL kicks off...

Equal trade value might be more like Chad Henne for Peyton Manning.

It's not just this year. Every friggin year for almost a decade now the "experts" have been in love with San Diego. And every year they disappoint without fail. Same will happen this season.

My Super Bowl pick is Green Bay over Baltimore. Last year I picked Baltimore to win the Super Bowl, but I do think they'll finally break through this season. I still think Green Bay repeats. Last season they had a ton of injuries and still won it all. My gut feeling is they do it again.

I do feel a bit bad for Peyton. I'm sure he really wanted to make the Super Bowl this season since it'll be played in Indy. It's going to look really bad if Brady gets his 4th title or Rodgers his 2nd in Peyton's own house.

Kid Rock is bringing the house down. Big improvement over the people who performed before him.

if mccarthy can keep them focused, keep making great play calls, and they stay healthy, they are gonna be hard to bring down.
