I don't even think the Colts make it back to the playoffs, but why can't the Seahawks go all the way?

Can't go wrong with Seahawks (or 49ers) over Broncos.

I could definitely see the Colts missing the playoffs. Last year they were playing a last place schedule and had (I think) seven 4th quarter come from behind victories. Usually you aren't going to get half that number. The main reason I think they could make the playoffs is their division isn't very good and the conference as a whole isn't very good.

I refuse to choose Denver as a Super Bowl team because Peyton has never been a good cold weather QB and if they get home field he'll have to win a couple games in frigid weather. This is why I think he should have gone to Tennessee or San Francisco.

You guys think this could be the last legitimate run for the Texans? I still think they will be on the only team to represent the AFC South in the playoffs this year.

I think my Texans have a couple of more years before our window closes. It is going to be tough to keep the talent here when the contracts come up. We just extended Cushing's contract and Andre Johnson reworked his contract to help make money available for the Cushing deal. Probably next year, they will extend Watt's contract but will probably also have to move some more money around to get that done. That means there will be casualties on the personnel side. I foresee letting Ben Tate go (his contract is up after this year) and I don't see us keeping Antonio Smith or Danieal Manning either.
Then look at the Colts threatening to take back the division again.

It gets pretty cold in TN... The dry cold in Denver is not as bad as the humid cold here in Nashville IMO. I've been to Denver and I thought the cold weather there was awesome. Ours can actually be pretty rough. I knew a guy who lived outside Denver... He came to Nashville for school and said it was way colder here than Denver.

Anyways... Peyton was smart not to come here even though it pissed me off. At the time we ranked #2 in pass protection, so I really thought he would choose us. Plus he would be a king here and was offered a lifetime job to work in the FO after he retires.

It would have been huge for the Titans. We would've finally received media attention and would've had a massive increase in the fanbase - although I hate bandwagon fans and I hate people who are purely Peyton fans and follow him wherever he goes. Eastern TN (UT) people are all a bunch of douchebag Colts/Broncos fans because of Peyton. They can stay away from my team anyways.

In the end, I'm glad we went after Peyton and glad he didn't choose us... because our attempt to get him prevented us from blowing $100mil on Mario Williams. And the offseason we had this year wouldn't have been possible if Peyton were here. We'd have no money to improve the team.

I agree, if Watt has another Pro Bowl year he'll get that extension and potentially be the richest defensive lineman in the game next season. So you really think they won't re-sign Tate? It's great for him to carry some of that load on 3rd down but not sure if he can be an every down back in the league.

Being a Jag fan since day 1 since our announement into the league in 1993 (I was in the 7th grade as a Redskins/49ers fan). The only team I really hated other than the Cowboys are the Tennessee Titans

I know we've been spanked numerous times by Manning and the Colts in the 2000's, but those Titans of the late 90's still pisses me off even to this day because you were the only team in the league during the 1999-2000 season to beat the Jagaurs and stopped our great run to the Super Bowl. I honestly think the 1999 Jaguars would of beaten the 1999 Rams with Warner, Faulk, and Bruce in the Super Bowl.

Redskins and 49ers?! Why not Miami, Tampa Bay or Atlanta? Was it because they sucked?

Neither of their backs are talented enough on a normal team to be a starter, that offensive line was built by the same guy that cranked out 1000 yard rushers every year in Denver regardless of who they were handing the ball to.

Ugh I already have problems getting excited about football due to the mediocrity of the Cowboys, if this helmet sensor crap effects the game as much as some people think it will, the NFL may be done as my favourite sport to watch.

Haha no. All I watched was NFL Primetme showing Mark Rypien going to Gary Clark at the endzone so I liked them until they lost to the 49ers the following postseason after then won the Super Bowl. Though I did like that Run-N-Shoot offense with the Falcons.

Who Kubiak? So you mean Terrell Davis was a fluke during their 2 runs at Denver rushing the ball?

Our offensive line is not as good as it used to be but like so many other people have said, I think we can plug another running back in there and still get similar results. Cierre Wood has looked good so I look for him to take over for Tate. Tate has not even been able to stay healthy with a smaller amount of carries and he has often found himself in Kubiak's doghouse.

Hows Foster looking? What do you expect from him this year? He's my RB1 for my work league

Foster didn't play any in the preseason but he is ready for the season. I have to believe they will try to limit his carries or his career will not last very long. He will always be a good RB1 because he will score a lot of touchdowns. We run the ball a lot down in the red zone so you should feel safe in knowing he will still put up big points for fantasy teams.
I just wish we would pass more to Andre Johnson down in the red zone. It is sad to see his career stats be so weak when you compare his TD totals to other receivers.

I'm going to ban myself if the Raiders make the playoffs let alone win their division because we will never hear the end of Navster
