John Morgan, the lawyer for the men accusing Brandon Meriweather of shooting his clients, said on WEEI Boston Thursday morning that he doesn't know whether Meriweather was the shooter.
Morgan has a "lot of doubts" about the identity of the shooter until police finish their work. "I don't assume anything to be true," Morgan said. The prominent lawyer said his clients identify Meriweather as the shooter. He noted that the cops have been investigating the case for two weeks, it's still open, and Meriweather is part of the investigation. Morgan has his own investigators on the case as well. The County sheriff is remaining mum.

The NFL Players Association insists it is prepared to decertify Friday after a testy round of negotiations on Thursday.
The rhetoric ratcheted up a few notches on both sides, with NFL counsel Jeff Pash suggesting the union wasn't committing to a deal and NFLPA exec George Atallah joking that he'd request "an expense credit from the owners on the last three hours of my life." The holdup continues to be the lack of progress on financial transparency, which the union is demanding. The sides will meet again Friday in a last-ditch effort to avert a "blow up," as one source put it.

Yup time for the courts to decide this, this is a very sad day in NFL history, the worst part is the owners will probably takes this out on the fans by jacking up game ticket and concession prices to even more ridiculous levels.

i don't even buy beer inside the stadium anymore.

we get there early enough to tail gate, i binge drink while we're outside and then let my buzz work itself off until after the game.

People like me have to drink and eat during the game though, 4 hours is way too long for a diabetic to be without nutrients, should make my next trip to see the Cowboys a bit more interesting.

Everything will work itself out guys, they aren't going to let a $9 billion industry lose money. We have plenty of time.

Do they really even search you well? Being that you're talking Green Bay I imagine everyone is bundled up for a good chunk of the season so it's probably easy to conceal liquor. Whenever I to to Orlando Magic games they barely check anything, so I always have small liquor bottles in my pockets to take in.

Why is everyone freaking out? I could care less if there's a "lockout" in March. Wake me up if it's still going on late in the summer. I have a hard time believing one side or the other won't give in.

They will reach an agreement before June IMO. The players had a pretty good deal, if the reports of it are true, that they passed up. There will be a NFL season this year with no games missed. The NBA on the other hand will be a repeat of 1998-99 or no season at all. That CBA is going to be hell to negotiate.

At the Cowboys games I've been to, 4 in Texas and 1 in Minnesota, they pat you down as you pass through the gate after having your ticket checked. Imagine it would be the same in Green Bay. Oh and decertification may mean the salary cap balloons, which is why a lot of people like me think this is a very bad day in NFL history.
