We'll see, but everyone was raving about the Bears last year with their defense scoring points for the team. You never know that this could finally be Cutler's year but I'm going to sit back and watch until they can jump into the next level.

That's kind of why I never gave Mark Sanchez props when he took the NYJ to the AFC Championship game a couple years back.

I'm not saying they are a top contender. I was just saying that they have a bunch of positives, and they are in a better position than say the Chiefs to make the playoffs. The poll is about who has the least chance of making the playoffs.

Yeah the Bears are a playoff contender at best which everyone can agree to. They have good talent on both sides of the ball. But to get back on topic if I wanted to participate in the poll. I would pick the 2-0 Dolphins because I feel that only 1 team will represent the AFC East, but then again. Everyone can make the same case for the Chiefs over at the West. It's really hard to predict with 2 games in but I got my money on the Dolphins who will likely miss the postseason

It will be hard for them to duplicate that with the NFC improving every year and their best defensive player gone in retirement/free agency.

too many afc 2-0 teams.. they all can't possibly make it, have to go with the Chiefs.. even though it could be the fins, tough call either way.. both aren't winning their divisions (pats and broncos will)

Where would you predict Chicago finishing in their division? I haven't looked at their schedule but I think Benny seems worried they might be able to hang with his Packers.

Chicago's defense isn't as stout as it's been and Cutler is always one good hit away from IR. Bears will probably finish with 8-9 wins, Green Bay should run away with that division with 11-12 wins.

the Packers have an AWFUL defense, they won't go anywhere unless they start addressing the issue fast.. Bears will win the division

Not so long as Cutler is QB. Now give them a real QB and then I may be a little

doubtful. the Packers have 2 guys injured in their 2ndary right now....and both s/b back after their bye next week.

our run def. has looked strong in our 2 games so far and our def. line has looked stellar to be honest.

once we get Burnett and Hayward back in the 2ndary....our pass def. should improve quite a bit.

the bears haven't won the divisin in 3-4 years when their def. was near it's peak, no way they win it this year.

They were 7-1 until Cutler got hurt.

In fact, they would have been contenders in 2012 and 2011 if it weren't for Cutler's injuries during the second half of both seasons.

This is a really, really tough poll. 2-0 means nothing at this point, and I see at least two of those teams missing the playoffs.

My bet would be on the Chiefs missing. I really like what they did in the offseason, and they will be a great team moving forward with Reid in charge and key players like Charles, Smith, Bowe, Hali, Flowers, Berry, Houston, etc., but I think it'd be too much too soon for them to make the playoffs this year. I still think 8-8 or 9-7, which might end up being good enough.

Of the options, my choices would have to be Chiefs, Dolphins, and Bears.

But I had the Dolphins making the playoffs before the season started, so I gotta stick with 'em!

even with Burnett and Hayward back they are always at the bottom of the list in pass defense, the reason why their run d looks good is because they don't get a chance to stop the rush because they are usually winning ever game and their opponents aren't rushing the ball.. the only way to beat the Packers is to stop their offense, every game will be a shoot out.

the Packers stuffed the 9ers rushing off. in week one. gore had 50 yards or so and Kaep didn't do what everyone was expecting him to. w/the exception of a 30-something yard run last week they haven't been gashed at all like they were last year.

there's improvement there.....there's no denying that.

and between Burnett and Hayward...that's almost 200 tackles and 8 int's from last years def. so yes, those 2 guys are a big part of our 2ndary.

Hayward is a ball-hawk and i can't wait to see him play this year.

and like you said....the packers are usually playing w/a lead and a descent chunck of that yardage through the air is coming in garbage time or after a point where it doesn't matter if a lot of long plays are given up b/c the game is all but in the bag.

Browns agreed to terms with RB Willis McGahee.
McGahee is the immediate favorite for carries in Cleveland's repurposed backfield, though his Week 3 workload will likely be limited as he learns the playbook and gets back into football shape. It's not even a guarantee he'll be active against the Vikings. Per NFL.com, McGahee "hopes" to play. Nevertheless, it shouldn't take McGahee long to separate from Chris Ogbonnaya and Bobby Rainey, leaving him as the "back to own" in Cleveland. Quotation marks because McGahee is still just a desperation add. He won't be more than a low-end FLEX option once he gets going.
