Luck wasn't better than RG3 last year. Far too many turnovers, and benefitted from the 3rd easiest schedule in the NFL.

Thats not the topic. He said EJ is the best rookie he has seen since RGIII...Luck was better his rookie year as well as RGIII

Green-Ellis said Wednesday in a conference call from Cincinnati: “How you approach your business and how you go about being a professional at whatever you’re doing, not just a professional football player but just a professional in life, doing things the right way. The Patriot way has helped me tremendously throughout my career, not only throughout my career but coming into the league as a young man and also growing into a full-fledged adult now and having a family of my own. It’s things like that that I think the Patriot way helped me tremendously.
Always a fan of BJGE. Love him while he was here...he NEVER turned the ball over..but has this year for some reason

The Patriots were 3 point underdogs last week against the Falcons and opened as 1 point underdogs this week against the Bengals (the line has moved and the Patriots are now 1 point favorites). I wonder when the last time the Patriots opened as underdogs in consecutive games. Their schedule was easy enough in 2008 when Cassel was starting that I doubt they were ever back-to-back dogs. I am wondering if the last time they were back-to-back dogs was in 2002 when they were 3 points dogs against the Steelers in the AFC title game and 14 point dogs against the Rams in the Super Bowl.

EJ has played five games.

He looks extremely promising.

I was being sarcastic, guess I should've been more clear about that. I do not believe EJ Manuel will be a franchise quarterback in the NFL, both because of health issues and because I don't see franchise QB talent in him.

I thought it was hilarious that Big Ben was talking about how he thinks they still have a really good team and he thinks they can still have a really good season. Dude your season's over, just shut up and accept it.

We released Shawn Powell this morning. The kid had a booming leg, but was horrible at directional punts.

I'm not disagreeing Luck is better than EJ, but Luck hasn't been "since RG3". So the statement "best since RG3" stands even if there were other QBs of quality alongside RG3.

The Browns have confirmed that Brian Hoyer has a torn ACL and is out for the season.

At least they have 2012 draft pick Brandon Weeden to fall back on.

Well... Should I still hold onto Cameron and Gordon or try to trade them now while their value is still high?

Weeden can't be trusted.

Keeper league? If so, I wouldn't let Gordon go. He is a liability because of his drug issues, but he is a damn fine football player.

Just terrible news for a player who finally got his chance and was making the most of it. Hopefully Brian Hoyer gets another shot.

The fact that Weeden is possibly the worst starting QB in the NFL and Hoyer was at least looking serviceable means he will get another shot, assuming he recovers fully from this partial ACL tear.

Yea but you gotta think the Browns will be going for a QB in round 1 regardless. That's part of the reasoning for the Richardson trade. It's a lot easier to move up to a top 5 pick if you have two first round picks like the Browns do.

Hoyer is fine, they should go with an offensive lineman and a pass rusher instead of investing those draft picks into someone who most likely won't be a franchise QB. Clown for Clowney!

Patriots signed another injury prone receiver in Austin Collie.

I respect someone's wish to play the game but seriously the guy has had too many concussions and should think about his health

For a guy who makes his living in the middle, Welker is an extremely durable guy who only had the one freak injury.

Takes a HUGE hit, still holds on to the ball, and gets right back up
