WGR 550's Joe Buscaglia reports E.J. Manuel will miss "a few weeks" with a sprained right LCL.
Manuel also suffered a knee injury during the preseason, had the knee scoped, and was back by Week 1. His quick recovery suggests perhaps Manuel will make another one, although there are obviously no guarantees. The Bills' bye isn't until Week 12, so the team won't be about to work around that. Jeff Tuel is the only other quarterback on Buffalo's current roster. They have nine days before their next game and will certainly add a veteran. Forward-thinkers should be targeting the Bengals' defense as a fantastic Week 6 fantasy play.

Weeden can't be trusted.

Gordon last year in his rookie year had 50 catches for 805 yds and 5 tds with Weeden at QB.. He will produce and Weeden threw him a TD last night, he looks his way a lot

With Norv Turner being the OC this year Cameron is slated to have a huge year, as he is right now; Turner loves utilizing his TE in the offense.. When a QB is weak he tends to look at his TE, and Weeden will continue to look at Cameron.

When we contacted the NFL's online shop for clarification, we were told 5% of the sales are being donated to the American Cancer Society. If the pink products have a typical 100% mark-up at retail, that means the NFL is keeping 90% of the profit from the sale of Breast Cancer Awareness gear.

I don't like the NFL using pink flags for every game this month. It's too confusing since all the players have pink towels that frequently fall off, so there's constantly pink items falling on the field and it's unclear whether it's a flag or a piece of equipment.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports E.J. Manuel's LCL sprain will cost him "six weeks or so."
Another local report stated Manuel would be out 4-8 weeks, so the timetables are similar. Per Rapoport, the Bills are "keeping all their options open," and could consider free agent Josh Freeman. We just don't see it because Freeman would be an incredibly poor fit for Buffalo's offense. Free agent Vince Young showed some spark in Packers camp and would be a better on-paper match.

Even with EJ at the helm last week and most of the Thursday game Stevie had a negative point game and next to nothing so not a huge loss

Went after players like Leveon Bell, Justin Blackmon etc.

He will want to go somewhere where he can get his foot in the door to be the future starter. With Pryor showing promise, I don't know if Oakland wants to make him feel insecure.

As a huge Bears fan, all I will say about tomorrow....if you have Brees and/or Graham, you WILL win this week in fantasy.

I have a feeling the Bears are going to take a beating not since the Patriots came in a few years ago on a snowy day and beat the smack out of them.

I have ZERO faith in the Bears D. Seems like people like Briggs and Peppers are doing their best to get themselves OFF the team for next year. I'd say right now it's a 97% chance they cut Peppers.

Report: Raiders have a 'definite interest' in Josh Freeman

Josh Freeman's next stop could be in Oakland. That's according to the Tampa Bay Times, which reports that the Raiders have a “definite interest” in signing the former Buccaneers quarterback, who was unceremoniously dumped earlier this week.


Though I didn't list the Raiders in my top-five teams who should show interest in Freeman, the move would make some sense.

Starting quarterback Terrelle Pryor missed last week with a concussion, and his backup Matt Flynn was horrendous (as has been the case since he left the comforts of being Aaron Rodgers' backup in Green Bay).

If Freeman does sign with the Raiders -- still a big “if,” obviously -- it's unclear whether he'd compete immediately for the starting spot against Pryor, who's been better this year than many of us would have expected. I'd guess no, but perhaps after Freeman learns the offense, he could be a contender heading into the 2014 season if the team gives him a long-term deal.

So, when might we know? Pretty soon apparently.

I'm so nervous, I've been thinking about tomorrow's game all day long. Beating the Ravens would be soooooooooooo HUGE! Going into the bye week 4-1, 3-0 against the AFC would be so awesome!

I know I said a 3-2 record to start the season would be pretty neat considering our brutal schedule, but a 2-game losing streak before a week off would be a major turn-off for players and fans.

T Pryor is in his 3rd season, but he's still like a rookie when it comes to games and he's been better than expected with over 65% completion and 86 qb rating
