Damn... our survival league locks in the pick before the Thursday night game! That's cold! I did pick the Lions over Browns for the time being, but I have absolutely no confidence in that pick even if Megatron plays.

Watch out for the Jags when they play us (I'm dead serious lol). Don't pick us as your survival pick. We almost always drop a game to the Jags as embarrassing as that may be - it's a divisional thing. If they're winless, we'll probably lose.

Remember what happened when we played the 0-13 Colts?... One of the most painful games I've ever watched - and I've seen some bad ones (59-0 against Pats, 55-7 against Packers, 52-20 against Bears, 41-7 against Texans, etc.)

The craziest thing is that we came five yards within beating the Saints the week before getting blown out to that garbage 0-13 team.

All we needed was to beat the 0-13 Colts and we would've made the playoffs. Unreal.


PS I cannot believe you guys beat ATL!!! I almost picked that as my survival pick last week.

Quick note on the Titans... looks like I was right about our 3 game losing streak up ahead. If we win one of our next two games (@SEA, vs SF), it will be a miracle, and I will be expecting playoffs.

Adrian Peterson may not play this week due to a personal matter. Not a lot is known right now:

Adrian Peterson is indeed dealing with a personal situation that a source close to Peterson describes as “tragic.”

The source declined to share any further details, explaining that it’s a subject Peterson will address at the appropriate time.

On Thursday, Stu Whitney of the Argus (S.D.) Leader reported that Peterson remains in Sioux Falls, “dealing with [a] medical issue involving [a] young family member that likely will be a police matter” and that it is a “very serious” health situation.

More details about what's going on with Adrian Peterson, and it's disturbing:

Adrian Peterson's 2-year-old son is currently in critical condition in a South Dakota hospital ... after he was allegedly severely beaten by the man dating the mother of his child, TMZ has learned.

The Minnesota Vikings running back immediately left his team to be with his son.

Officials tell us they've arrested the suspect, 27-year-old Joseph Patterson ... who's been charged with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant.

According to law enforcement, emergency responders arrived to the apartment where Peterson's son was living at 5:46 PM on Wednesday ... and found the child unresponsive.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital and medical experts determined the injuries were consistent with abuse.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the child suffered severe head injuries.

Yeah, these stories are fairly common. And it's sickening that people would take out their aggression on someone who can't defend themselves or understand what's happening. I saw something in the same vein yesterday where police are looking for a guy who assaulted a blind man on the street in (I think) Philly.
