Can't see the NFLPA actually advising players not to play in a game:

NFLPA tells @wingoz that, depending on what MRSA containment report says, the NFLPA could advise Bucs-Eagles not to play this weekend.

I can see Bucs getting into a lot of trouble. I mean 2 guys got this during training camp, they denied responsibility but said they did a cleaning to be safe, and now another gets it? Uh oh.

And apparently Carl Nicks who was one of the original 2 has been diagnosed with a recurrence.

Bucs are just a terrible organization overall. The way they tried to screw over Lawrence Tynes by putting him on the non-football injury list rather than injured reserve even though the injury occurred at their facility just showed how bad a franchise they are. Even though he would still get his full salary on the NFI list it would cost him an accrued season, benefits, and a season towards his pension and it was clearly a move to try and avoid accepting blame for having MRSA at their facility.

It's hard to believe they also own Manchester United, the most successful English soccer team and I believe the most valuable franchise in the world. But yes, the Glazers don't care about the Bucs and never have.

I read an article on NFL dot com about the Stealers coach taking the pool table and other locker room games away.

I'm sure that will work.

This guy is on a third grade level or what?... Think NFL players can't find a pool table. Don't you think any Pool place in town will be happy to host them.

(Oh, and I don't think the pats can beat the saints this weekend.)

Was it always like this? Athletes are not role models ... Why is the NFL so desparate to keep people hooked. ... the games are actually pretty entertaining.

This story not only effects a superstar player as it pertains to his gameday status, it also involves severe child abuse and possibly murder if his son dies. It's absolutely a story that should be reported on nationally. I see nothing offensive about the reporting. Only thing I take issue with is people whose first and only concern is how this affects their fantasy team.

He's not fully certain it is his son and he wasn't involved in the abuse.

Just a (tasteless) attempt to bring soap opera drama to the game to keep reeling people in.

I find it pretty pathetic.

-Brian

Edit - I tried to link the article which mentioned he wasn't sure if he was actually the boys father and now I can't find it. Doesn't sound like he was taking responsibility for the child at least until it became front page news.

Well, he did leave training to go down and visit with the family. If a star player misses a practice and it turns out he's visiting a child in another state that was just beaten to death (or close to it), why is that not news?

AD seems to be taking it a little too well which leads me to believe it's not his child

then again not everyone handles tragedy in the same way so don't know for sure

Don't worry, one day he will have to face his demons and the ultimate judgement. I hope he finds himself ready for that day. A very sad day, and I will keep AP in my prayers. I don't see how he could even think about playing anytime soon. He lost a child!

Peterson wasn't (isn't) sure it's his son.

Either way,... it's clear he never attempted being the dad.

And... It is a sad story but trying to make it a bigger story because the biological father may have been a celeb is gross.

She lived in a different state and never informed him that it could be his son until recently. He wouldn't have gone to South Dakota if the child meant nothing to him.
