After seeing his reactions yesterday and today I'd say it's almost certain Lynch has serious social anxiety issues. I used to have the same issues when I was required to give presentations in school or put in a position of dealing with groups of people I'm not familiar with.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2013...d-straight-day

Quote:
Marshawn Lynch again lasted less than seven minutes during a mandatory Super Bowl media session, climbing over chairs to get away from reporters Wednesday morning at the Seattle Seahawks' hotel.

One day earlier, during media day at the Prudential Center in Newark, Lynch answered questions for six and a half minutes before gravitating toward the back of the fenced-off interview area. The star running back spent the rest of the Seahawks' availability that way, his eyes hidden by sunglasses and his head covered by the hood to his sweatshirt.

It was a slightly different story Wednesday, as Lynch was sporting headphones and the sunglasses were absent -- making it easier to see how uncomfortable he is with the entire process.

"I appreciate it," Lynch said of the media's presence and desire to speak with him. "But I just don't get it.

"I'm just here so I don't get fined."

This isn't unique to the postseason. Lynch didn't speak with reporters during the regular season and nearly drew a $50,000 fine as the Seahawks prepared for their divisional-round playoff game.

Lynch lasted 6 minutes, 47 seconds on Wednesday, climbing over chairs to exit because he was blocked in by fellow running backs Robert Turbin and Michael Robinson, who were sitting next to him at a table during an interview session conducted in cramped quarters.

Robinson was first to arrive, even calling Lynch, his good friend, to try to lure him to the interview table.

"He didn't answer," Robinson said. "He know what I'm calling for."

Lynch was next to arrive, sitting in the middle chair. After a few brief replies from Lynch, Robinson began answering questions for his friend -- using the running back's "Boss" figure of speech to end each sentence.

When Turbin arrived a few minutes later, Lynch reacted in an agitated fashion.

"Why you wanna block me in, brother?" Lynch asked Turbin.

Lynch created a stir Tuesday at media day, although the NFL indicated that he might not be fined.

"Players are required to participate and he participated," league spokesman Greg Aiello told ESPN.com.

Unless you're some sort of medical professional that seems like a back-seat diagnosis. There's really no way of saying what's "wrong" (if you'd like to call it that) with Marshawn, as none of us know what he's thinking or will ever be told the truth about how feels about the media & shit cause it'd affect his image & his t-shirt (or whatever football players sell) sales would go down.

---

Sounds like the Rams are re-hiring Gregg Williams for the DC job they just fired Tim Walton for.. there has to be someone better qualified than Gregg. No offense to him, he's not a bad DC but all the chances he's had he just seems very average.

dunno if that's the case, but if it's true they shouldn't take advantage of him like that

I never claimed to be a medical professional. Nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night. Speculation bro, nothing more.

Sorry if I came off callus in that last post. I'm not saying it couldn't be, it could easily. I have a friend with some serious social anxiety so I understand the condition.

You're probably the only person who's not a Titans fan to think we will be good at some point. 1999-2003 and 2007-2008 we were pretty successful. It can happen again. I hope Whisenhunt is the answer. I know you liked the Ray Horton hire (so did I), but I'm afraid he'll be here for just one season before taking a HC job.

I think we are forced to roll with Locker for the final year of his contract. We better at least draft a QB to compete with him for the starting job in the offseason and plan on that QB taking over one way or another in 2015.

Since the Super Bowl ins on FOX that means Joe Buck will be doing the commentary. Now I just need to figure out what music to put on when I mute the game.

From what I'm reading there is apparently no rationality when it comes to the point spread for this Super Bowl. Generally the spread doesn't move by very much after it opens. This Super Bowl the opening line was Seattle had favored by 1.5, which almost immediately swung to Denver as a 2.5-3 point favorite. Vegas insiders believe the glut of cash on Denver has nothing to do with who betters actually think will win the game, but rather this is due to people liking Peyton Manning and disliking Seattle mainly because of Richard Sherman.

He is awfully mundane. On the bright side, Aikman is a really good color analyst. I would love to see Gus Johnson do the play by play for a Super Bowl. You can tell how much he loves football and basketball from the emotion in his voice.

I don't mind Buck so much, but when you're a 49er fan, listening to Aikman bash your team is maddening! I'm surprised my remote is still on the outside of my tv.

It's quite possible that he does. Ricky Williams had it bad. He'd leave his helmet on for interviews.

Or you could just unplug the center speaker and still hear the on-field sound and the crowd. You can even hear the refs through the front speakers.

A return of L.A. Rams? Owner is said to buy possible stadium site

Quote:
The owner of the St. Louis Rams has bought a large piece of land in Inglewood that potentially could be used for an NFL stadium, multiple individuals with knowledge of the transaction have told The Times.

Within the last month, billionaire Stan Kroenke bought a 60-acre parking lot located between the Forum and Hollywood Park, according to individuals who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on behalf of the buyer or seller.
Quote:
The Rams have been unable to work out a stadium deal in St. Louis, and, according to the terms of their lease, are able to move after the 2014 season. Last February, the Rams won an arbitration case against the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission concerning upgrades to the Edward Jones Dome. The commission proposed spending $124 million to bring the venue up to date, but the Rams said the necessary renovations would cost about $700 million.

Kroenke's purchase of the L.A.-area land puts additional pressure on St. Louis to come to the bargaining table or risk losing its NFL team. However, 60 acres is probably too small to fit a stadium and the required parking.
