Decker is going to get a huge contract. But he always is small in big games

Did anyone see Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith's press conference after the game? Apparently some screwball managed to talk his way past security and walked right up to the podium next to Smith, babbling on about 9/11 conspiracies before being led away by security. Crazy stuff.

EDIT - Here's the story of how this fool managed to get into the post-game press room.

4 good options on their schedule for the kickoff game in seattle:
49ers broncos packers cowboys.

49ers would be the best game but supposedly they requested to have the opening SNF game at home cause they want to show off their new stadium.

Why would we be a good game, chances are the Seahawks would absolutely smoke us.

I've read that if Denver elects not to resign him, the Jets are a strong possibility.

Jets would make a lot of sense for Decker. They have a huge need at receiver and once they release Sanchez, Santonio Holmes, and Antonio Cromartie they'll have close to $50 million in cap space. I could potentially see the Jets ending up with Decker and either Jeremy Maclin or Hakeem Nicks. I don't see the Broncos being able to afford Decker with Julius and Demaryius Thomas becoming free agents in 2015.

Full credit to the Seahawks, but everyone knows the Broncos are better team than they showed, and it *should have* been a closer game.

What a stinker.

What kind of contract will Decker get? He's not a #1 receiver, but he's a solid #2.

I really don't know. I could see him getting a deal in the 5-year, $45 million range similar to Victor Cruz and Greg Jennings last year. Decker has been a very good receiver his whole career but will never be a game changer, but at the same time he's only 26 so as long as he stays healthy he should stay effective his whole contract.

How many SB's did Barry Sanders win? Pretty sure he gets a consensus greatest RB of all time. I think the deal with Manning is how many times he played in a big game with a (on-paper) superior team and didn't walk away with a victory. More than that, it's that in those losses, Manning didn't play up to his own level of excellence and was always a significant factor in the outcome.

For what it's worth, this latest loss was not one of those times he played with the superior team.

Seahawk Way better than the Patriot Way? Doing your job and all is good, but football is more than that for some people and it shows when late round picks and undrafted guys are playing out of their minds to get where they are. These are the guys that are going to stick their neck out to make that play. Even late in the game there were 3 or 4 Seahawks swarming to the ball on every play and Sherman got injured on one of those.

Personally I can never trust players who disappear in big games and Peyton wasn't even the worst offender, how about Eric Decker with his one catch for 6 yards? Good luck on that contract. I would never sign a guy like that especially with the way he played and remember that time he went down to avoid contact? Give me Anquan Boldin, the guy is a beast that will make that tough catches.

It would have been interesting to see what the Broncos would have done on that drive if that play doesn't happen. Do they go 3 and out? I'm thinking they probably do regardless but if they had somehow sustained some long drive .. well who knows all we know is the Seahawks demolished Denver.

Hernandez must either have great luck..or people in high places. He didn't die....but people close to him are almost dropping like flies

Quote:
Another person with ties to former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has wound up a victim of violence amid mysterious circumstances. Alexander Bradley, a Hernandez associate, was shot several times in the leg Sunday night at a Hartford, Conn., nightclub, according to The Hartford Courant. After Bradley was shot, he went out to his car, got a gun and went back to the bar and fired shots, Hartford police said. In June, Bradley filed a lawsuit against Hernandez, saying the former Patriots player shot him in the face after an altercation at a Miami strip club the previous year. Hernandez invoked his Fifth Amendment right in the case.

Default Congradulations Fellow Twelves!!!!

To all my fellow Seahawks fans!!!! Revel in the glory!!! This team dominated from the preseason till the very end. One of the mantras was "Leave No Doubt" and that is exactly what we did, punctuated with a 43-8 victory.

When Denver loses a Super Bowl they don't mess around. Their 5 SB losses had scores of:

27-10
39-20
42-10
55-10
43-8

Combined score: 206-58
