Aaron Hernandez attacked a fellow inmate at Bristol County Jail on Tuesday, TMZ reported, citing sources. The former New England Patriots tight end, who’s typically relegated to solitary confinement, was walking in an isolated hallway, according to TMZ, when he somehow came into contact with another inmate. Sources told TMZ that Hernandez recognized the other man, went after him and “beat the guy up pretty good.” A source also said the inmate had been harassing Hernandez “nonstop” all day. Hernandez has been locked up since June 26 in connection with the alleged murder of Odin Lloyd.

Well when you're in prison that's more or less what you have to do to survive. Kick someone's ass unless you want to be their *itch. Though he is fortunate to be segregated from general population. I don't see how he'd have much chance there given his fame.

Yup. You have to fight to get respect. If he was putting out hits and killing people...he has connections and is a very violent person. Shouldn't surprise anyone.

Even if he isn't charged with murder ( i don't think enough evidence)...he will still get 7+ years for the gun charges as we are very very strict on having guns with no license, large capacity ect.

There's a lot of circumstantial evidence, but both cases also have at least 1 witness. At the very least, he's an accomplice in both cases.

There's no witness in the Odin Lloyd case. Carlos Ortiz initially was considered a witness and gave a statement that implicated Hernadez with the murder, but his story has changed several times and he has been deemed unreliable by prosecutors and they have said they won't be calling him as a witness. It's going to be tough for them to get a murder conviction based almost purely on circumstantial evidence.

You want to be a tight end in prison because that means your butthole has gone untouched. A wide receiver means you have a loose butthole.

I still don't think AP is worth that. No RB is. He's the best in the league, but wouldn't you rather invest that $100mil in other positions and roll with a young RB? Teams recycle RBs very often. There are plenty of teams in recent history that have shown you don't need an elite RB to have success and win it all (2001 Pats, 2002 Bucs, 2003 Pats, 2004 Pats, 2005 Steelers, 2006 Colts, 2007 Giants, 2008 Steelers, 2009 Saints, 2010 Packers, 2011 Giants)... Basically every year (since 2001) besides the last two have featured SB winning teams that had average starting RBs, at best.

AP got a contract similar to what top QBs make. No matter how good you are as a RB you aren't worth that, especially in today's game.

There's enough preferences in prison that neither is safe. Some like tight ends and some like wide receivers.

How many years can do it is the real question... When backs go they go hard (shaun alexander, LT, etc.)

The Eagles agreed to a 5-year, $25 million contract with receiver Riley Cooper. It's quite the turnaround from August when there were serious doubts over whether he'd make the team after the video of him yelling n-bombs outside a Kenny Chesney concert came out (and if Jeremy Maclin didn't get hurt Cooper probably would have been cut).

Unless the Guns were not mentioned in the search warrant. I have seen prosecutors and police make that mistake before. The gun will be tossed if it was not on the warrant whether he had a permit for it or not.
