I'm with you, BoydR12 !!! No Steve Smith, no Ted Ginn Jr, no Domenik Hixon ... probably Brandon LaFell is going to sign elsewhere too ... I'm guessing Cam's rushing yards will be up dramatically since there'll be nobody to pass to, except to Greg Olsen. And I'm guessing it's a safe bet that Gettleman isn't winning any popularity points in Charlotte.

Another good contract by Whaley. He's really good against the run, but this is a fair deal for a Spikes. My concern is that he isn't exactly a team player, which really goes against our blue collar mentality. Spikes likes to do things his own way, but man can he crush a running back. We also signed Anthony Dixon which will provide some depth behind Jackson and Spiller. He'll be used in goal line and short yardage situations to pound the rock.

Hes a team player. But your right in thinking he likes to do his own thing now and again. I loved him here

Woodyard and Oher today... Two big signings for us. Probably both average players, but they're huge upgrades to what we had. Huge.

McCluster was a big signing as well. Whiz will use him like he used Woodhead in San Diego. Also, our return game in both kickoffs and punts was absolutely dreadful last year (until we signed Leon Washington later in the season) and cost us at least two games. He will be better than CJ for 1/5 of the price.

I don't know much about Al Woods, but from what some Steelers fans have said he sounds like an up and coming player. Charlie Whitehurst is just a backup QB signing so we could cut Fitzpatrick and save some money.

Sucks to lose Verner especially after seeing the affordable deal he got, but if our pass rush is improved we'll be better without him anyways.

Can't wait till CJ's ass is outta here. Since he said he'd restructure his contract for a trade, we've had some interest. Anyone know who has the worst OL in the league? I'd like us to send him there.

I still can't believe they gave Oher 5m a year. He was just not that good in Baltimore. I hope he whips up his game for you guys.

+1 for McCluster, I was kind of hoping the Lions took him.

I'm aware of his struggles in Baltimore, but $5mil a year is a pretty average salary for a veteran RT. He's never missed a game, so that's a positive. He was apparently graded out as the worst run blocking RT in the league. I have a rad time believing he's really that bad... Could have been a combination of Rice sucking too.

I don't think we overpaid for him... $9.5mil guaranteed. If he is absolutely god awful this season we can cut him and likely not owe too much more. Or cut him after year 2 and likely owe nothing.

I'm excited about McCluster.

I certainly wouldn't have signed him if my team was running a 3-4 (didn't want the Titans to sign him for this reason), but it did work out for Robert Mathis.

only time will tell I guess. he had 1/2 a sack less than Matthews last season.

I'm convinced that Thompson is saving up some of this cap space to sign Nelson and Cobb to long term deals.

Well, you cannot rely solely on the draft anymore when so many players change team after 4 years when their rookie contract is up.

all depends on if he's willing to put in the time/work.

hopefully he'll be able attract some attention away from Matthews.
