Went a club last night in downtown SF area, and Marshawn Lynch was there... One of my boys who was really drunk, snapped a photo of him (which I told him not too) Out of no where Lynch comes running and slaps the phone out of his hand and wanted to throw down, guys a straight thug, and when I say thug, I means straight hood out of compton in one of the Dr Dre music videos

So then he goes through my friends phone and deletes the photo, which I'm just laughing my ass off the whole time this is happening as I told my friend not to take the photo...

But it turns out Lynch was a pretty cool cat, he later apolagized for slapping the phone and even offered to buy our table drinks and even conversated with us... Cool guy

Wish I could of got a photo with him, but I didnt want to get slapped

he's better at the slot than outside. anyway, Pats do have Dennard

speaking of which, Arrington could move to the safety position since he's a decent/good run stopper

Expect the pats to run a bunch of 1 deep S looks this year just like the jets did with him and Arrington shouldn't touch the safety position with a 10 ft pole. He is a good slot CB.

When you can take away half the field..it makes it a bit easier

He's already taken a physical with us and he's taking one with them tomorrow. Doesn't mean he's signed.... He is trying to get as big a contract as he can.

Plus I don't want us to overpay for him. If he wants 9-10 million per year, he can stuff it. We're on a long term plan with Idzik, and we should continue to build mainly through the draft. I'm certain that games aren't won in March.

God dammit. Tweet these things before you send out THOSE tweets.

He is going to get paid..either from giants or you. I get you want to build through draft...but with all that cap room..how on earth did you miss out on a good CB this FA..very big need like it was for the pats? If he doesn't go there?

We can always bring back Cro, who wants to return. We don't need to pay A money to B and C free agents. It's a good thing Idzik doesn't want to overpay for free agents. He has a price for every free agent, and if they go above that, then he draws a line like he did with Austin Howard. Once you start overpaying, that's when you get into cap trouble. DRC who would be good in Rex's system has pro bowl talent. I would like to sign him but I don't want us to give him the contract Elway offered him.

I really doubt DRC is in for a huge payday (in comparison to what other too CBs have been getting).

He's made it almost a week into FA without getting signed, which means that the interest isn't quite as strong as he'd hoped for. This is also a guy who talked about possibly retiring. No one is going to throw a ton of guaranteed money at a guy whose heart may not be in the game anymore.

I don't see him getting more than $6-7mil a year at the max. I could easily be wrong though... I was wrong about Verner - I thought he'd end up getting $9mil based off of the CBs who signed before him (Grimes, Shields, Davis).

DRC may end up with another one year deal.

I know of Dennard, but since the dude is in jail right now, I wasn't sure what the team had planned for him.

If it were up to me I would cut his ass the day he gets out.

The team drafted him knowing he could face jail time. So it's not like this is an unexpected thing.

Would have been a 2-4th round CB had he not screwed up.

hopefully he'll be able attract some attention away from Matthews.
As a BEARS fan I'm quite happy he is gone. He had games last year when he didn't even make the stat sheet.
Either he has been secretly hurt the last two years, or he just played when he wanted to. He was a non factor most of.last year.

Bears got two new, younger DEs with the money Peppers would've cost, Packers get a 34 year old declining player with their one year wonder Mathews.

I'm all smiles about this move!!! :-)

Colts owner Jim Irsay was arrested for DUI and possession of a controlled substance early this morning. Irsay has been public about his alcoholism and said last October that he hadn't had a drink in 15 years. Irsay is the first NFL owner to face criminal charges since former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo in 1997.

You guys same as us would be smart to do that, since 1993 93% of all FA signings have not worked out.

Technically. But Browns owner Jimmy Haslem paid his way out of criminal charges.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf is another crook.

http://deadspin.com/vikings-owners-m...rim-1377871020

Quote:
Vikings Owners Must Pay $85 Million For "Organized Crime-Type" Fraud

The owners of the Minnesota Vikings were ordered to pay nearly $85 million in damages to former business partners they defrauded with "evil motive", and will face a criminal investigation into their actions, which a judge declared violated racketeering laws. There's a chance this ruling could hold up plans for a new Vikings stadium.

Zygi Wilf, the majority owner of the team, and his brother Mark and cousin Leonard were found liable for fraud, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, for their roles in scamming former partners out of the profits of a New Jersey apartment complex. The Wilfs withheld revenues and charged unauthorized fees and interest payments for decades. "Organized crime-type activities," the judge called them, finding they violated the state's RICO act.

"Zygi and his father decided...that the Reichmanns had gotten too good a deal," Superior Court Judge Deanne Wilson declared. "And so they were just simply not going to honor it."

Yesterday, the judge ruled on damages. The Wilfs must pay a whopping $84.5 million, including $36.8 million in punitive damages. Under New Jersey law, the case will now be sent to the county prosecutor and state attorney general for a criminal investigation.

Transcripts of the summary hearing and the judge's decision can be found below, though they're lengthy and just for the completists. Some highlights:

"It was done not with a reckless, but a willful disregard of the rights of the partners...And it was clearly not negligent. It was not even grossly negligent. It was grossly willful. And it was done repeatedly."

"The bad faith and evil motive were demonstrated in the testimony of Zygi Wilf himself."

"I do not believe I have seen one single financial statement that is true and accurate."

It wasn't just alcohol. Irsay had a long addiction to prescription painkillers as well. That controlled substance may well be a relapse from his prior addiction to the drug. This could also explain the Colts trading a 1st round pick for Trent Richardson.
