I'm hearing a lot of speculation that the Bills want to move up to the top 5. Watkins appears to be the target. That kid would be on cloud nine, he's been a Bills fan his whole life. I don't know if we will actually move up though. I think it's much more likely we move back if Watkins and Evans are off the board when our pick goes on the clock. (Which is very likely)

The CBs covering him should yell "Wide Right."

Imagine how freaked he would be by end of game.

Quote:
New head coach Jay Gruden said he only plans to use the read-option in "sprinkles here and there" this season.
Under the Shanahan & Son offense the last two seasons, the Redskins ran read-option on 201-of-972 (20.6 percent) running plays. It resulted in Robert Griffin III taking a ton of hits, even on plays in which he handed off. Gruden's more traditional, power-based scheme will lead to a decline in designed runs, but RG3 will have a better shot at sustaining health and remains a big-time bounce-back candidate. Gruden made Andy Dalton into a top-five fantasy quarterback, Griffin's knee is actually healthy and he has a shiny new toy in DeSean Jackson.

I think the NFL's decision to move the draft back 2 weeks is backfiring. They thought that moving the draft back would lead to 2 more weeks of people talking about the NFL, but it seems like people have just stopped caring at this point.

Yeah I loved their thinly veiled excuse that it was done to give people more time to get out of school before the draft. I still care but I'm probably in the minority, interest should probably ramp up a bit over the next 8 days though with Manziel and Clowney as media magnets.

A lot of that I think is due to the NBA storyline, Donald Sterling getting banned was a big story, next week talk about who goes where and why with more mocks will be out plus possible trades, next week business will pick up.

Well... When the NBA is this competitive you know, if it was typical Lakers, Mavs/Spurs, Celtics, whoever LBJ is contracted to play for, Magic [I know they suxxxx now] I doubt anyone would care... But these playoffs have been awesome!

Amusing video filmed in 1932 of the man who supposedly invented the first football helmet. He kind of looks like Leon Trotsky (communist revolutionary) or George Tsoukalas (Aliens!).

What an idiot:

Quote:
Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
NFL teams notified last week that Miami OT Seantrel Henderson tested positive at combine for smoking marijuana, per league sources.
Henderson also quit midway through his pro day, with his agent later saying he was sick. Henderson was one of the top recruits coming out of high school and originally signed with USC, but asked to be released from his letter of intent once USC received a bowl ban and instead went to Miami. During his career at Miami he seemed to permanently be in the coaches doghouse and was suspended for games in 2012 and 2013 after flunking drug tests. Henderson has the physical skills to be a star, but will likely be a very late round pick or undrafted due to all his red flags.

Surprised there hasn't been more talk here with the draft just a couple days away.

What do your (realistic) top 5 boards look like for your team?

Titans:
1. Barr
2. Dennard/Gilbert
3. Evans
4. Ebron
5. Matthews

I would have other players in there (like Clowney, Mack, Watkins) if there was a possibility of them being available.

As for the later rounds, I really want Hyde, Mason, or Sankey in the 2nd, and Aaron Murray in the 4th if he's still there... he'll be the biggest steal of the draft. No doubt about it.

1. Cooks

3. Dennard
4. Martin
5. OBJ

2nd round I'd grab Amaro, ASJ, or Joyner.

Later in the draft I like Ward, Latimer, De'Anthony Thomas, Antonio Richardson, Tre Mason, and maybe Aaron Murray real late.

Well, if people are like me, they are just tired of all the crap that is reported...Jeff Fisher likes X player, Texans are high on Y player, blah, blah, blah...Boring...

Draft should have been 2 weeks earlier, not 2 weeks later...

I had a wishlist the last couple of years, I didn't bother this year...

2013:

1. TE Tyler Eifert

2. CB Desmond Trufant
2. OT Terron Armstead

3. DE Corey Lemonier
3. FS T.J. McDonald

4. CB Brandon McGee

2012:

1. OLB Melvin Ingram

2. CB Trumaine Johnson

3. QB Kirk Cousins
3. WR Mohamed Sanu

I was bored and made four mock drafts...

For the Jets, I had Gilbert, Beckham, Martin, and Cooks. Surely one of those will be the pick. Any chance you guys would take Mosley if he falls?

For the Vikings, I stuck to QB and alternated... Bortles in one, Manziel in another, Bridgewater in another, and Carr in another. I don't see them doing anything other than taking a QB. It's just too hard to predict which one. I would assume Bortles would be the choice if he is still available. I think Mack is highly unlikely to fall to #8. I would be crapping my pants if he did because the Titans would have a realistic shot at him at that point, and he's been my favorite player in the draft for a while.

I always like to document my wants for the draft or at the least tell some friends because I like to complain when we make terrible picks and always remind everyone that I had better guys in mind.

Here's who I have wanted each of the last three drafts:

2011 - Robert Quinn
2012 - Dontari Poe
2013 - Star Lotulelei

Poe was gone when we picked in 2012, and Wright was the correct pick at #20, but in 2011 and 2013 we really blew it. I don't know why our FO continues to neglect the DL. It has sucked miserably. If we had taken Quinn and Lotulelei, we would have one of, if not the best DLs in the league (easily top 5). But instead we've had a bottom 5 DL for a while.

This year there isn't really a DL that fits our new scheme. Donald would be #1 on my board if we were still going to primarily run a 4-3. Pass rusher has been a need for a long time, so Barr is the obvious pick IMO.

No clue why the FO drafted offense three years in a row. I could live with a top QB at #11 even though I don't feel good about any of them aside from Bridgewater. I would much rather just build the rest of our team and wait to take a QB later in the draft, preferably Murray.

You guys will definitely take one of those players if you stay at #9.

I want no part of Mosley, personally.
