We don't need to take a quarterback in the early rounds, but we definitely could grab one in rounds 4-7. I'm no believer in Thad Lewis or Jeff Tuel to back up EJ.

Definitely agree about Mack, though. A few mocks have him going #8(even seen him go #9), but I don't see it either.

Bridgewater is the only QB I would want us to take at #11. The bad pro day doesn't concern me much.

My main problem with Mosley is his durability. He is a fundamentally sound football player, but I don't think he'll ever be more than an average ILB.

Also, you should never trust 1st round Bama prospects. Never. I certainly don't. I can't think of one Bama player who has gone in the 1st round during Saban's tenure who has been worthy of the pick. Okay... Julio Jones was definitely worthy of the pick - although he may have some serious injury issues from here on out. Andre Smith took a while to come around. He's a decent player, but I certainly wouldn't consider him worth that pick.

In all honesty, Eddie Lacy is the only Saban player I can think of that I would want on my team... and he was not a 1st round pick.

Having said that, I wouldn't automatically remove a Bama player from my 1st round board, but I would always have that major concern about them in the back of my mind.

I highly doubt you guys spend the #8 pick on Mosley though.

If I were the Vikings I would take Bridgewater or Aaron Donald.

I think Bortles is a Locker clone.

Marcell Dareus arrested in Alabama

A county sheriff's office says Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl defensive lineman Marcell Dareus has been arrested in Alabama on drug charges.

A jailer in Cleburne County in Heflin who would not give her name says Dareus was arrested Monday night by a state trooper and was released from the jail within an hour.

She says he was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She did not have an attorney for him listed or a court date.

Sheriff Joe Jacks also confirmed to WVUA-TV that Dareus was arrested.

Dareus was selected third overall in the 2011 draft and is in his fourth season with the Bills. The 24-year-old played for Alabama.

Last season he had 7.5 sacks and 71 tackles.

Dareus was found to have synthetic marijuana, or spice:

Per Leder, Alabama State Troopers say Dareus was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. He was initially pulled over on Interstate 20 (the freeway connecting Birmingham, Ala. and Atlanta) for speeding.

I would be surprised if he doesn't end up pleading this down to a misdemeanor and it might only be a fine (1 or 2 game checks) rather than a suspension assuming this is a first offense.

Some people are reporting the Falcons and Texans are discussing a 1-for-6 swap. Apparently Texans want a "RG3-level offer". Dear god I hope the Falcons don't. It was one thing trading up for Julio (for 2 1st rounders, not the 3 the Redskins gave up), but is the level between 1 and 6 really that different for what we're looking for? Are we really that in on Clowney?

According to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, who cited three unnamed league sources, the NFL is giving thought to holding the draft 1-2 weeks “later” next year. The idea, McGinn said, is receiving “serious consideration.”

In this potential scenario, the draft could begin on either the second or third full week of May, the latter of which could put the draft’s end date on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in 2015.

No, they want Clowney. Reading through some Peter King, he doesn't think the Texans will trade, but if they take Manziel over Clowney, he said the Falcons will call the Rams about trading so they can take Clowney. If the Rams don't trade, they'll likely take Clowney. Then the Falcons would try to trade up to get Mack.

Nah, the Joneses don't know how to build a team through the draft properly or don't care to. Every now and then they do stumble onto a gem like Dez, Tyron or Travis but usually they overdraft a linebacker or a TE. I am really hoping having the worst defense in the history of the franchise will lead them to go defense crazy tomorrow but I know it's a fool's errand since they never learn. Oh right they had that terrible CB draft awhile back, idiots. Also the 2009 special teams draft, don't think a single player from that draft is still on the team.
