Definitely.
It's curious to me why with the run on receivers in the first two rounds, the Browns haven't tried to move up? Maybe they have some ideas for picking up some current free agents? If they lose Gordon, they are really gonna be in a tough spot. Jordan Cameron is great, he'll give Manziel some help, but without the threat of Gordon, Cameron could draw a lot more coverage. Interesting, Texans still haven't taken a QB, just picked up a TE out of Iowa. Fiedorowicz. |

They moved up for DE... Especially when Carr was there... I was gasping because it would be the Redskins luck for them to have taken Carr and he turn out to be Aikmen JR and kill them for the next 15 years over a 3rd round pick.

I think, overall, that Browns fans are happy and buying the hype. My buddies and I aren't. We don't care about all the flash and fanfare. We got that with McCoy and Quinn and they can't even make it as decent backups. Time will tell MF.

Cowboys did exactly what I wanted them to today and traded up to take DeMarcus Lawrence. Lawrence was not going to be there at 47, so this move was good. Gotta hope they can somehow get a solid safety in the 4th round, unless they think they're good to go at that spot with Johnson, Wilcox and Church.

![]() Quote:
![]() That supposed cough syrup with codeine was likely not for an illness, but instead "purple drank", a drug concoction popular with rappers and hip hop artists. ![]() He was like this in college as well. Here's his college history from an article: "Gordon had drug-testing problems in college as well. He was dismissed from the team at Baylor after being suspended twice for marijuana use. He transferred to Utah but didn't play there after failing another drug test." http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...ong-suspension Edit: I was wrong on something. I thought he had five total drug suspensions between college and the NFL. Turns out he's had 6! Three times in college and three in the NFL. I didn't know this but I was reading an article from a longtime Cleveland sportswriter. In the NFL, you don't get suspended for the first offense. On the second, you get a suspension. On the third, you face a season-long ban or even longer. Since Gordon was suspended for multiple games for codeine last year, that meant he had already failed a test prior, as you don't get suspended on a first offense. That means this guy has failed 6 drug tests in the last 3 years or so. Wow. Last edited by Breather; 05-13-2014 at 07:26 AM. |
