I don't drink tea. I can't remember the last time I drank something that wasn't bottled water. Don't act like what you are saying is a fact because it's not. I have an opinion on the subject and you do too and let's leave it at that.

Actually in this case with marijuana, when it can be backed with numbers and congressional hearings on the product, and can be proven, yes it is fact.

Anyone watch the movie draft day?

In the movie, the Browns
[Show spoiler]pass on the high profile QB and savior Bo Callahan and take a linebacker instead. They roll with incumbent QB Brian Drew.

Real life Browns take the QB to start over Brian Hoyer.

The pick to get Manziel originated from the Trent Richardson trade.

It's the simple things in life that can make a family's day.

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly has been through a lot as he has continued to battle cancer for the past year. When it came time for Mother's Day, all he wanted to do was something special with his wife, Jill.

Kelly's daughter, Erin, posted the picture above along with the caption, "Daddy just wanted to dance with his bride on Mother's Day #prayersforjk."

I actually thought it would've been very Raider-like to draft him.

First black coach in the NFL.
First Latino coach in the NFL.
First female executive in the NFL.

Davis always seemed to make it a point to break those boundaries.

Browns signed CB Joe Haden to a five-year, $68 million contract extension through the 2019 season.
Somewhat coming out of nowhere to close the deal, the Browns have Haden locked up through his age-30 season. Per PFT's Michael David Smith, the deal includes a $14 million signing bonus and $22 million fully guaranteed. Another $23 million is guaranteed for injury. All of the figures surpass Richard Sherman's deal, which is actually a year shorter in length. In terms of annual average, Sherman is still the highest-paid corner. Haden was a top-18 corner at PFF last season. Quarterbacks had a 75.2 passer rating throwing at the former No. 7 overall pick. The Browns got Haden some help this past weekend in the draft, taking CBs Justin Gilbert eighth overall and Pierre Desir in the fourth round.

What it's saying is that the remaining $23 million is only guaranteed in the event that Haden got injured and was no longer able to play football. If Haden stays healthy but his production dips the Browns could cut him after the first couple years of the deal and owe him none of the $23 million.

In the current CBA all teams had the option of exercising a 5th year option on first round picks after the 3rd year of the deal. If they exercised the option the 5th year would be guaranteed for injury only, so exercising the option doesn't automatically mean the player will actually be on the team in the 5th year, just that they own his rights. Since it's pretty rare for a player to get injured badly enough that they can't play the injury guarantees are fairly meaningless.

Gotcha so basically its just an insurance policy in the event of something catastrophic.

Great news for Haden and Patrick Peterson.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports the NFL is expected to revamp its marijuana policy in the league's new drug agreement, instituting a higher threshold for positive tests and lessening the penalties.
It's unclear how much the penalties will be lessened, but at the very least, it means players will no longer be subject to a four-game ban for a first-time offense. Per Graziano, haggling over the arbitration process is the only roadblock to a new drug agreement. The move comes too late for Josh Gordon, but it appears marijuana will no longer be treated as a more serious offense than issues like drunk driving and assault.

Hoyer beat the Vikes in Minnesota in week 3 and the Bungles at home in week 4. Then he got hurt in week 5. This guy (a hometown boy) had the city and Browns Backers, everywhere, seriously thinking of the playoffs. I WANT HOYER AS THE STARTER. Johnny "Finger Rubber" can wait.

We'd all be better off if Alex Smith never got hurt.

Thanks, Jo-Lonn Dunbar
