Well I always root for my team, but if my team is mathematically eliminated, I wouldn't mind a better draft pick.

Its actually draft pick(s) since theyre higher in each round + you forgot to mention the easier schedule too.

I wanted us to lose our final two games (against the Jags and Texans) last season for multiple reasons:

1. Losing both would've sealed our coaching staff's fate... whatever it takes to get rid of them.
2. Better draft picks
3. Worse draft picks for our division rivals

Once your team is eliminated from the playoffs, I don't see an issue with wanting them to lose if the circumstances are right.

I find it hilarious that you say the loss of DJax will really hurt the Eagles, but you say that the (Giants and) Redskins didn't improve significantly. DJax plays for the Redskins now. Lol. And let's not forget one of the Cowboys few bright spots on defense (Hatcher) now plays for the Redskins too.

Giants offseason additions: Rashad Jennings, Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie, Walter Thurmond
Giants offseason subtractions: Justin Tuck, Chris Snee, David Baas, Aaron Ross, Andre Brown

Redskins offseason additions: DeSean Jackson, Jason Hatcher, Andre Roberts
Redskins offseason subtractions: none that come to mind

Cowboys offseason additions: Jeremy Mincey, Amobi Okoye, Henry Melton, Rolando McClain LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Cowboys offseason subtractions: DeMarcus Ware, Jason Hatcher, Miles Austin (and don't forget Sean Lee is out for the year)

It's obvious. Blatantly obvious. That's not to say the Cowboys are guaranteed to finish in last. There are no guarantees in this league. But on paper they are easily the worst team in that division. The same could have been said for the Jets last season, and they came within a W of making the playoffs (Cowboys style ).

The additions/subtractions were really just off the top of my head, and I left all rookies and irrelevant players off of it. I may have forgotten some, so fill me in if I'm overlooking someone.
LOL that isn't going to change and those additions you listed for each team won't help it change. Worry about the Titans(I don't know who is besides you) who have a whole list of problems(that for sure is blatantly obvious and has been for quite some time) before worrying about the Cowboys.

Titans long list of problems: QB (and probably CB and ILB)

That's not a very long list... most important position, but not a long list.

I'm not worried about the Cowboys. Don't care about them... I was merely making my point about their awful defense and upcoming struggles for this season. I don't really think you've been able to refute that.

You have more positions than that that need help. RB being one off the top of my head.

RB? Really? Because we lost your new dude CJ2YPC? He is irrelevant at this point... maybe with some extra motivation he can be worthwhile again with you guys. We'll see.

But we did spend our 2nd round pick on Sankey who will see plenty of carries this season. I expect him to be our lead back for years to come.

I would say we are fine at pretty much every position except the ones I mentioned... the biggest issue is that we really don't have an elite talent anywhere aside from Wright and Casey. We just have a bunch of good/average players, but a ton of potential. I'm hoping Hunter takes the next step this year.

The team is good enough to compete if Locker stays healthy. We showed that last season. My biggest concern is at CB. Losing Verner sucks, and I'm not sure we have anyone ready to step into that starting role. I like Sensabaugh and Wreh-Wilson, but I'm not sure they're up for the challenge.

All that said, we now have a quality play caller on offense and a DC who knows what he's doing (turned the Browns from the 23rd ranked defense to 9th). We easily had the worst coaching staff in terms of both ability and experience for the last few seasons. Hard for me to see us being worse... unless Whitehurst starts a handful of games. I still hate the fact we cut Fitz in favor of him.

I just got NFL ST for one time payment of $100. The representative knocked it over half price. I couldn't get it for free though.

No we call that a "turnstile" fan. A fan that would accept mediocrity year after year no matter what the owner throws out on the field. Look at the pathetic Cubs fans. Maybe if they boycotted that garbage and stopped showing up to games and hit the owner in the pocket book he would do something. In the Cowboys case Jones is more about "the show" then he is his own team now. That Palace that he built is not the Cowboys stadium but the World's Stadium! There is not one ounce of home field advantage for that team there.....

If the Cowboys gets a high draft pick in next year's draft, they should draft Oregon's QB.

Now about the Ray Rice's suspension, it should've been more than 2 games w/o a doubt. Big Ben got suspended more than 2 games a few years ago for what he did, and now what Ray Rice did, only gotten him 2 games? Way to go Roger, way to go.

Ben got 6 games reduced to 4 and he was just accused of Rape, never charged and no proof. Ray Rice got 2 games and there is video of him dragging his fiances motionless body out of an elevator.

I can only shake my head ruefully.
Granted, I'll concede that Rice has much better track record than Ben did(at that time)...and I'm sure that factored in Goodell's decision...but my goodness...the message being sent here is not a pretty one, for the NFL.

Its funny looking at the recent suspensions

Smoke Pot - 1 Year ban
Kill a man - 8 games
Accused of Rape - 6 games reduced to 4 on appeal
Knock your fiance the **** out and get caught on video - 2 games

What does Nagy get? My guess is hes going to get suspended for the coin toss of the first game only. Ray Rice should be gone for the year, and required to partake in a anger management course as well as do community service for battered women. sadly in the NFL the inmates run the asylum, honestly I don't know whats worse what ray did or what his coach Harbaugh said about it being no big deal.

Evidently Rice's wife wrote a letter to Goodell pleading for leniency.

It's a shame!
I really think the NFL has to send a more powerful message. Start kicking repear offenders out of the league. The troops will fall in line. There's a bunch of guys that don't make the cut that will gladly step in to fill roles vacated by banned players. I really hope this topic gets discussed at the next CBA.

Yes, I knew I was forgetting something.
Still even with all that, why even open the door for criticism with a 2-game suspension? Make it 4 games, as has been the norm, and if Rice's track record holds true, he shouldn't have to worry about anything down the road.

That "pathetic loser" Romo is the difference between it being an 8-8 team and a 1-15 team.

Andrew Luck would not have gone better than 8-8 in either of the last two years with the Cowboys.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say there isn't a single QB in the entire league who could have led last year's Cowboys, with a defense that bad, to a better than 8-7 record in the first 15 games.

Blaming Romo is just a fantasy by idiot fans who want to believe the Cowboys can be fixed by replacing one player (or Cowboys haters who will talk down the QB no matter who he is). The Cowboys need DOZENS of players replaced, and Romo is not in the top 40 of the positions that the Cowboys have that have truly dreadful players. At least he wasn't pre-Surgery, I'm completely willing to believe he won't be the same player anymore, you never know how surgery will affect someone.

Regardless, LOL at the belief that any NFC East team got better in the off-season.

I agree, that Romo is the least of the team's worries. I can't stand Dallas, but I'd take Romo on my team any day.
The problems, in Dallas, begin & end with the guy at the top. The best move Jerruh made, IN HIS LIFE, was hiring Johnson as Head Coach. Johnson's team was so good, that a puppet like Switzer could stroll in and win a Superbowl. It's not a coinsidance that the decline in Dallas started after Johnon's team finally: retired/moved on/got arrested. Jerruh's ego is only making Dallas spin it's wheels, much to the delight of the rest of the division.
Assuming Dallas gets off to a bad start, what is the over/under of games it takes for the first Dez Bryant meltdown?

Now as for the last statement I definitely disagree with that.
The Redskins got automatically better by aquiring MeSean. That pick up can get even better if MeSean can fall in line and be a team player...that will be another interesting WR to watch for the inevitable meltdown.
Philly having lost MeSean will have a hole to fill, but I think Jordan Matthews is really going to turn heads. Dare I say RoY candidate? The combo of McCoy and Sproles will fill that "Safety check" hole that MeSean provided. Then Foles has a complete, "you're the guy" year to build on. Chip Kelly...I think he's so good that he can't even figure himself out!
The Giants...I'm not really sure if they got better or worse. Will probably have to see as the season moves on. The do still have these two, very important things:
Eli Manning & Tom Coughlin.
