The NFL has since made suspensions for domestic violence much more strict. He is looking at a 6 game suspension.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Texans have "agreed in principle" on a long-term extension with LE J.J. Watt.

The question is when would the suspension come into affect for McDonald. For the most part the NFL doesn't suspend players until the legal process plays out, and if that's how they handle McDonald then he'll get the trial delayed until after the season and not miss any games until 2015 at the earliest.

According to the new rule they do not need the legal process to play out, he is accused of Domestic violence they can suspend him now if they want. This guy is going to be made an example of due to the flack the NFL received from the Ray Rice fiasco. I would not be shocked to see the NFL levy his suspension opening weekend as a way to "show the fans they are taking this seriously."

Expect to miss the game DirecTV is slow at getting deals done, do yourself a favor go buy a cheap HDTV antenna just in case

Hopefully it gets worked out. If not just call and complain. I did after a Washington/Detroit game was blacked out, even though the game was being played in Detroit. They gave me a $50 credit($10 off my next 5 bills).
I've been with Directv for almost 20 years(back when 16-bit boxes were all the rage LOL!), and they are among the best in terms of customer sevice, IMO.
I'm very curious to see what they will be doing with the NFL ticket going foward as it's up for bid after this season.

I've dealt with customer service agents with Comcast, DirecTV, and Verizon Fios. In my experiences DirecTV definitely has the best customer service.
