Neither team can keep the ball in hand tonight.

I had to start Cam tonight, since Aaron Rodgers was on a bye. I was debating dropping Cam for Vick, but figured Cam was: younger, playing at home on primetime, playing against a subpar defense and playing against a team that had lost 7 straight regular season road games!

I hate FF!

My fantasy team thanks Mark Ingram for his 20 pt game. My opponent has 5 players in this matchup and is barely ahead.

Running QB's are not the answer! They never have been, they never will be!
The greats don't need to run.

Staubach, Favre, Young and Tarkenton were all mobile, were they not?

A mobile QB won the Super Bowl last year. A mobile QB came one play away from winning the Super Bowl the year before.

I understand what you're saying and, all in all, pocket passers are better, but you can't say a running QB isn't the answer.

Cam would look a whole lot better if he had more help. The OL sucks, the RBs are spent and can't stay healthy, the defense has reverted to average status, and outside of Benjamin (who's still raw and developing) and Olsen he has no one. Get the man some weapons. They were insane for letting Steve Smith go.

Smith practically forced their hand and he's better off away from a bum like Newton anyway. Running QBs can work but they need to be smart and they also have to be able to deliver strikes when necessary.

Well I wouldn't say Favre was all that mobile. I mean he spent time on his mobile with sending pics to Jenn Sterger. Allegedly, of course

Yes. All QB's are mobile, to an extent. All the QB's you listed have much higher passing yards to rushing yards, and all of them looked to throw the ball first. All them could throw the ball quite well. Mike Vick is probably the best rushing QB the game has ever known and what has it gotten him?
Especially in today's game, you have to control the game from the pocket, as all the greats QB's do.

Make no mistake, Seattle's Defense won the title. Sure Wilson can extend plays, but he looks to throw first, run second.
To use your logic the other way, Capernick has some the best offensive weapons around AND a lights out defense: Zero titles.
Just look at the list of champions, and you'll see that common factor. Yes there are few exceptions to the rule: Baltimore won with Dilfer & Flacco, but the Defense was so great, they just need someone to NOT turn the ball over. Ditto the Bucs defense in 2003.
It's no coincidence that the ring list is ripe with QB's that passed their way to a championship, not ran their way to one.

You guys are blaming Cam but a successful offense starts with the O-line. The Panthers had to start two un-drafted rookies on Cam's blind side. Cam Newton is not the problem.

Will the Raiders go without a win this year? 2nd 0-16 team?

The Raiders have only 1 winnable game left in their schedule IMO. The road game against the Rams is probably their best chance at getting a W.

I hope not. It was really sad watching the Lions go winless. I have to believe they get a win somewhere. Either against the Rams, or against the Broncos backups week 17, or if the Bill's magic runs out, maybe week 16.

As a Lions fan that was the best thing to ever happen to our team. Ownership finally listened to the fans and is now finally putting together a team that is worthy. The owner was not going to change the way things were done until the fans spoke up.

At one point this season all 5 starts for the Eagles O-Line were out. To date all 5 guys have yet to play together this season. Yet they have managed to win 5 games, and their only 2 losses came in the waning seconds, inside the red zone. I do agree a great O-line will make the rest of the team better.
Sorry QBs that run all over the place in college, IMO, are just doing themselves a disservice if they want to become successful QBs in the NFL. They all find out they can't win, at a sustained rate, by running the ball. Like the saying goes: You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
The running QB will almost always regress into their running ways and miss simple checkdowns. It happened multiple times last night.
Give me accuracy over legs, in my QB, any day of the week(and twice on Sunday! )
