Blame Ken Stabler for fumbling on purpose back in 1978 lol. Anyway the rule is good because of just that. Late in the game if a player fumbles like that and is recovered by another player on his team in the end zone for a TD do you want to see your team lose on a fluke play like that.

And the rule caused a team to get a safety despite recovering the fumble simply because the QB got sacked and dropped the ball and it went into the end zone.

I think I'd change the rule that a fumble can be moved forward, but only to the original line of scrimmage(or the spot of the fumble, whichever is further ahead). Going past that reverts the ball to that spot.

Fixes the intentional fumble, and fixes what we just saw today.

*EDIT* Clarified if fumble happens in front of the line.

Josh Huff is a total bum! The only reason he's in the NFL is because Chip brought him in from Oregon. He makes way more mistakes than good plays...as we just saw.
