Yes, but unlike the Braves, the Broncos/Colts have mostly had one player.... Peyton. He can't play both sides of the ball.

It's called flexibility...and Brady just gave that to the Pats. Pats have an easier time with cash flow while Brady gets some extra $$...it's a win win...but jets fans don't know a lot about that now do they?

As the Herald’s Jeff Howe points out, the Patriots could say, “the hell with it” in re-negotiating with the cornerback, and simply pick up the team option for 2015, which includes a $12 million roster bonus, $9 million of which would be due to Revis by mid-March. That would prevent him from following Rex Ryan, wherever the former Jets coach may land, or falling into Woody Johnson’s tampering plea for his former All-Pro star.

It will have an impact...and i am not the only one saying it just like the article i posted and many other writers already wrote.... Brady and Pats made another smart football move..and you sit there and can't accept that. Whatever helps you sleep at night bud. No matter what pats do it's always bad in your eyes so no point in discussing this with you.

It has a negative impact because your salary cap went down with this move. 24 million in an escrow account for a billionaire is a drop in the bucket. The only impact is what fatediesel described. Brady gets 3 million for waiving his injury clause. Has no impact whatsoever on signing bonuses....

Meh, it was dirty but not worthy of a suspension. Not even close IMO. The fine seems justified though.
