Was Shanahan in the Hoyer or Manziel camp?

Don’t forget...... your defensive coordinator Rodney Marinelli was in Detroit and Chicago while Rodgers has been w/the Packers…..and he torched those defenses in the past!!!

i'm just going to leave THIS here for you to over.

man why would any coach or player want to go play for the Browns. Every year it's a new coach..new QB...new everything...

All because of the horrible owner....feel bad for the fan base because they are the ones suffering

It seemed like he was more of a Hoyer guy. He talked up Manziel a lot but supposedly the decision to bench Hoyer came from higher-ups in the organization. From the sounds of it Shanahan is not a big believer that Manziel will ever be a viable starter in the NFL and that was part of the reason he wanted out.

The Browns also fired QB coach Dowell Loggains today. Loggains was a big Manziel supporter and was the person Manziel texted on draft night encouraging the Browns to draft him. Loggains forwarded the text to coach Mike Pettine and owner Jimmy Haslem and played a big role in convincing them to trade up to get Manziel.

Robert Mueller releases report on Rice investigation

Quote:
Former FBI director Robert Mueller released his findings Thursday into the NFL's pursuit and handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence incident. The report concludes an independent investigation that took nearly four months.

Mueller said the following in a press release:

"We found no evidence that anyone at the NFL had or saw the in-elevator video before it was publicly shown. We also found no evidence that a woman at the NFL acknowledged receipt of that video in a voicemail message on April 9, 2014.

"We concluded there was substantial information about the incident -- even without the in-elevator video -- indicating the need for a more thorough investigation. The NFL should have done more with the information it had, and should have taken additional steps to obtain all available information about the February 15 incident."

The decision to conduct the investigation came after a tumultuous September that included the release of a video that showed Rice punching his then-fiancée Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City casino elevator. Rice was released by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL in September, but that suspension was vacated in November by Judge Barbara S. Jones.

Mueller served as director of the FBI for 12 years (2001-2013) under two presidents. He is currently a partner in the law firm of WilmerHale and is based in Washington, DC.

Random note... Rex Ryan lives in Nashville. I ran into him last summer... Turns out he does have a house here after all. He's been seen at Preds and Sounds (minor league baseball) games
I hope the Falcons don't go that route. As a Panthers fan I dont want to play against a Rex led team twice a year.

Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the league and has been for at least 5 years so it's not surprising, the guy has dominated pretty much every defense in the league.

did you read the article at all??

i was surprised at how close this years Cowboys team compared to some of those other teams he was a part of.

doesn't sound like Rodgers is going to be 100% on Sunday though. our offensive line better bring their A-game if he's going to have to stay in the pocket.

as long as i don't see him running/limping down the field after plays.....i'll be happy.

b/c if they pull off a win....he's not going to have 2 weeks to recover this time.

Marinelli is a Monte Kiffin disciple and their fingerprints are all over this defense. What kinda excites me for next year is the prospect of Bruce Carter, Sean Lee and Rolando McClain as our starting LBs. Definitely still need to inject some talent into the defensive line but if we can hold onto those LBs we should be set there for awhile. If I'm the Cowboys, I do whatever it takes to make your rookie C jittery, the kid is no Travis Frederick and he will probably spook easily on such a big stage.

As much as I wish we could rely on previous performance and past statistics, it just isn't something I'll ever rely on. As a Packer fan, I have the utmost respect for what the Cowboys have done this year. 8-0 on the road. Their best December with Romo at the helm. I'm not giving the Packers the win until the clock hits 0:00 and they have the better score.

+1 on this. With Detroit we only had to protect him for the 2nd half, now we need the protection the entire game.

I voted in the current poll as the "most likely" upset to be the Cowboys against the Packers. That doesn't mean I want it to happen. My real hope is that the "least likely" upset happens and Carolina shocks the world and goes into Seattle and knocks them out.

Of course I'd most want to see Carolina come into Lambeau for the championship game, but it'd also be very cool if Dallas did end up beating the Packers and they got to play Carolina in their new stadium and if they win at home to get to the Super Bowl, that would be pretty awesome as well for the Cowboy fans.

Blown call: Miffed Lions fans launch billboard campaign

There are a number of billboards in metro Detroit, including along I-94 east, I-96, I-75, I-696, M-14 and Coolidge Highway. More are expected to appear outside the metro Detroit area.

Granted, this comes to us from the same newspaper that informed us that John Harbaugh was going to Michigan.

15 years ago today (and I was there)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pfz4...ature=youtu.be

Happy anniversary! Steve McNair's face on that is just priceless. RIP

And for those who don't believe it's a lateral (like 40 year old virgin Adam Schefter):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_zg...ature=youtu.be

PS I'm sorry Moviefan... I know that's an awful memory, and I understand if you still don't think it's a lateral. It was just Adam Schefter's article that really pissed me off.

The saddest part is that the Titans Twitter account was live tweeting the MCM today...

The Rams tweeted to us and said something like "Congrats on the MCM, see you in Atlanta." Lol low blow, but we asked for it.

Just shows how terrible we've been that we are live tweeting something that happened 15 years ago.
