Man, the Pats are going to be one pissed team coming into Oakland next week, 2 weeks ago i would never thought we had a chance to beat these guys, but after taking it to Jets, we can beat the Pats too, gotta hit Brady hard and get him to the ground! I hope Seymour lays him out too...

Bring it Joe Montana, err Tom Brady i mean, i already know our defense wont be able to stop that high powered offense, and expect Brady to throw for about 500 yards, but we should be able to score some points on their horrid defense too, should be a shootout!!!

Your secondary's not going to stop him anyway, my defensive plan would be cover man to man outside and send the house on passing downs. Two beatings in a row could well make Brady lose his composure and subsequently, another game.

I know the NFL is getting more passer-dominant, but this is ridiculous.

Passers with QB Rating >100:
2011 - 9
2010 - 4
....
2003 - 1
2002 - 1

Passers with QB rating >90:
2011 - 15
2010 - 13
....
2003 - 6
2002 - 4

The gap between present-day and about a decade ago is jaw-dropping. Back around 2002 even elite QB's like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady could barely crack 90 QB rating, let alone 100. These days guys like Rex Grossman and an aging Hasselbeck are pushing 100 QB rating. It's pretty obvious to see how all the rule changes have broken the back of pass defenses. We're getting to a point where offensive records in the NFL will become about as meaningful as offensive records in MLB's juiced ball era.

The Titans will work out free agent WRs Donnie Avery and Buster Davis on Tuesday.
Unless Kenny Britt's MRI brings back unexpectedly good news, one of them will likely be signed. The Titans will be the third team Avery has worked out for since being cut by the Rams. Davis is a former first-round draft bust.

Some Interesting QB Comparisons for ppl wondering just how good Peyton Manning really is...

Comparing Matt Stafford to Peyton Manning

Quote:
2. Stafford vs. Manning, first 16 starts: Stafford's first 16 games vs. Manning's first 16 isn't a perfect comparison because of the time frame. Manning started all 16 games as a rookie. Because of injuries, Stafford didn't start his 16th game until the third game of his third season.

Stafford matches up favorably. He also had three training camps to prepare while Manning had only one.

But the stats are what they are, as follows:

Manning — 56.7 completion rate, 3,739 yards and 6.5 yards per attempt, 26 TDs, 28 interceptions and a 71.2 passer rating. The Colts' record was 3-13.

Stafford — 57.0 completion rate, 3,779 yards and 6.4 yards per attempt, 28 TDs, 23 interceptions and a 75.8 passer rating. The Lions' record with Stafford as the starter is 6-10.

3. Stafford vs. Manning, first three games, third season:

Manning — 67.2 percent completion rate for 1,080 yards and 9.3 yards per attempt, 8 TDs, 3 interceptions, 109.1 passer rating and a 2-1 record.

Stafford - 66.9 percent completion rate for 977 yards and 8.3 yards per attempt, 9 TDs, 2 interceptions, 110.7 rating and a 3-0 record.

4. Manning's 16-game third season totals: 33 TD passes, 15 interceptions, 10-6 record and a second straight playoff berth, as a wild card. The Colts won a division title in 1999 with as 13-3 record.

5. Stafford's third-season projection: At his current rate Stafford will throw 48 TD passes, third-most in NFL history behind Tom Brady (50 in 2007) and Manning (49 in 2005).

Getting anxious waiting for the game that is now 4 hours away, hoping it won't be as close as our last 8 games were and we just win in a blow-out. Stafford is having an insane season yes, time will tell if he really is made out of glass or not.

And Dallas has done what to show they can beat the Lions. I watched week 1 as Romo single handedly blew the game. I watched as they bairly beat the 49ers week 2, Dallas does not look like a good team, we shall see how they do against one of there better rivals tonight.

Detroit has looked convincing in 2 out of 3 games, Granted yes they looked horrible the 1st half of week 3 but then again everyone does from time to time. However Detroit did come back yesterday for a good victory in OT.

I know the saying it does not matte rif you win by 1 point or 100 points a win is a win, but I fully expect a very good game that could truly go either way next Sunday vs Dallas. Detroit is not the same team that everyone is used to walking all over, and I think Dallas with its decimated front 5 protecting Romo is going to have a very hard time. Especially with no Austin and Jones potentially FUBAR as well.

We don't really run a lot anyway, expecting Austin to come back next week, this will be only the first start he's missed since he took over for Roy Williams as the #1 receiver back in 2009. Yeah it should be a heck of a game, assuming Dallas comes out of this physical game without a lot of new critical injuries.

That's part of Dallas problem, if I am correct Austin not expected back until week 5/6. Fairly is gonna be on our D line week 4 against Dallas as well, so Romo can expect more of a pass rush then normal. One thing im worried about tho is how bad our D has been against the run past 3 weeks, not to mention how poorly we played 1st half last week.

If Romo uses Witten right he could possibly do some very serious damage

Yeah it's the interior of our line that's young and inconsistent so the defensive tackles of the Lions worry me. We don't play in week 5 so if he doesn't come back for the Lions' game, we don't get him back until the New England game.

Like I said I swear I read Austin was out 4 weeks, im excited to see how our D line improves with Fairly tho. I really think that once Detroit adds a good Secondary they will be a very scarey team.

The Nashville Tennessean reports that Monday's MRI confirmed Kenny Britt has a torn right ACL and is done for the year.
It's believed Britt tore both his ACL and MCL. Regardless, he's facing a lengthy rehab after reconstructive surgery. The good news is Britt has no history of serious injuries and just turned 23. He's got a better shot to return at 100 percent than most players probably would. The Titans will move forward with Nate Washington, Damian Williams, and Lavelle Hawkins as their top three wideouts. Ideally, they'd also find more ways to use Jared Cook in the passing game.
