If you wanna settle even earlier theres usually a bet on runtime of anthem.

That is true, but coin flip is 50/50...or so they say.

So they're the new Atlanta Braves of the NFL then. I would know. I'm a Braves fan.

With professional sports, as I see it, you've got 3 options:

1) You win the Championship - Duh! Everybody wants this.
2) You are relevant - Each year you're always in the mix
3) You are not good - .

We all want #1, but #2 is not a bad runner up prize.

Only one head coach vacancy left and that seems like just a matter of time before Quinn can officially take the job.

Doug Marrone is still unemployed

At least you're close to Lambeau. It's kind of lonely out here in Southern Calif. being a Packers fan. I have to wait for them to play the Chargers at home. And if they could have won last night, it would have been a short trip to Arizona for me. *sigh*

I'd never even consider paying anything close to $2k to go to a Super Bowl. I've been to big home playoff games in the late 90's when Jacksonville was really good and the atmosphere was great.

Problem is Super Bowls being played at a neutral site would kill it for me. Too many casual fans and rich people who aren't real football fans fill the stadium. I've always maintained that the Super Bowl should be played at the site of the team with the better record. That way you'd have a stadium full of real football fans. I hate all the stupid dome or warm weather Super Bowls. Some of the greatest games in history have been played in the snow.

Ya, I'll admit I've drifted away from MLB. Back when I was a kid in the 80's-90's I probably spent about 75% of my sports TV time watching MLB. I guess it's because that was the sport I mainly played as a kid.

Over the last 15 or so years it's more like NFL/College football > NBA/college basketball > MLB for me. Hockey only on very rare occasion (a little playoffs), mainly because nobody in the south outside of northeast transplants really cares about the NHL.

Doug Marrone is an idiot and deserves to be unemployed for the way he ditched the team.

He was lucky enough he got a head coaching job in the NFL with just a 25-25 record in college.

Rex Ryan and the Bills players/fans are probably having a good laugh right now.

Even as a coordinator the guy wasn't very good. When he was OC for the Saints in 2006-08 the team went 25-24. The year after he left they went 13-3 and won the Super Bowl. Coincidence? Doubt it. He'll probably eventually land some sort of OC NFL job or head coach at a crappy NCAA football program.

onlly b/c both of you make mention of it......living in WI....it's hard to believe we don't have a hockey team of any kind. i actually enjoy watching hockey.....but i can't bring myself to commiting to a team from Minnesota or Illinois.

i kind of wish the Bucks would move to another state and then a hockey team comes in instead.

I forgot who said it, but a former Major League pitcher who made millions off the game even said baseball was boring to watch.
