The price of Super Bowl tickets have doubled since last Monday, with the cheapest tickets on Stub Hub at $4,360. I did some research on the ticket patterns of past Super Bowls and they were nothing like this. I want to go to the game, but unless there's a severe drop in price by tomorrow I think I'm just going to cancel my trip and watch the game in Las Vegas, where I have to be Monday for a convention.

When I bought Championship game tickets back in '05, I bought right away. I was glad I did, as the price only went up and up and up, practically by the hour.
If you have not gotten tickets by now, the odds of finding them at that price you wanted is probably long gone. Unless you know somebody who knows somebody.
Hey watching the big game in Vegas is not a bad runner up!

Day before games are always cheaper. Pats AFC champ tix went from 300 cheapest to 198 12 hours before kick off

Well that works out well when the game is in your own backyard, but I had to travel to Jacksonnville, and I'm not going all the way down there on the "hopes" that I land some tickets for the big game.
I did the same thing for the Flyers/Bruins 2010 Winter Classic game. Sure I might spend a few extra bucks, but I'd rather have everything taken care of, so that when I arrive into town, I can see the sights during the day, and hit the local watering holes at night.

now Wilson (the sporting company) is getting involved...
[Show spoiler]
Belichick*mooted the idea*that the difference in atmospheric conditions between where the footballs were inflated before the game and where they were measured at halftime—and found to be underinflated—could go to explain the reported drop in pressure. (It doesn't explain why the Colts' balls, which were prepared at the same time and place, were still at regulation psi.)

"That's BS," said Wilson rep Jim Jenkins, who explained to Boston.com the process of making footballs and how they maintain their integrity until game time. (Unless you put it in a freezer, he said, it's not going to fluctuate wildly under natural atmospheric changes for "maybe a year or two" after being manufactured.)*And then again, for emphasis: "That's BS, man."

Another Wilson rep says something catastrophic—and likely intentional—would have to happen to the ball's internal air bladder to bring about the deflation the Patriots' balls are accused of undergoing.

"Well it couldn't [deflate] unless something happened to a bladder, but that really doesn't happen and there's no other real way," Wilson's director of experiential marketing Molly Wallace said. "

I can't predict this game cause of all the surrounding hoopla.

Last year I thought the Seahawks could take down the Broncos cause the Broncos never played against any physical NFC West type defenses.

Bill is the ultimate schemer so this could go either way.

How come in alot of the ads for restaurants or stores for the big game they show a football with stripes ? never got that.

In alot of these interviews they ask "whats the key to the game?" i would just say "score more pts."

The person of interest was already interviewed by the league. The NFL is trying to determine whether any wrongdoing by this individual occurred, sources tell FOX Sports.

There is surveillance video showing the attendant taking the footballs from the official's locker room into another room at Gillette Stadium before bringing them out to the field, sources tell FOX Sports.

Funny how they do not mention at all if this is standard procedure. More fuel on the fire.

I would presume the door leads to a hallway that leads directly to the field, since that's generally how stadiums are built. And he went into the hallway, and then into a different room, before coming back into the hallway and to the field.

Is it even his job to take the balls to the field? I think that'd raise more flags than what route he took. Maybe he was inside cause the NFC game went into overtime.

What fire? The league is trying to start a fire with a wet clump of dirt. There's nothing there and they know it.

There is fire. You think this guy just woke up and said "hmm i wonder if Tom wants these 12 balls deflated. Yeah let me try that out. I'm sure he's not particular"

In 20 years they're going to have high tech footballs with computers in them that can signal first downs and measure air pressure and crap.

Both teams have the Chiefs to thank for turning their season around.
