This is what kind of game you get within the division especially Washington and Dallas.
Who said anything about putting my chest out. No see you need to go back and read other posts not just a discussion between a Lions fan and a Cowboys fan which showed the good and bad of both teams because we play each other in 6 days. As for the Bills fans they have every right to talk smack right now they just knocked off the Pats the team that was/is projected to win the AFC. Bills played a hellva game and won, why shouldn't they be able to talk they just won a very good come from behind game and are 3-0. As for the Raiders yes they are in the same boat as the Lions until they play and beat someone who has done something yeah we fans shouldn't really be talking smack maybe were ahead of ourselves but after 10 years of less then mediocrity excuse us for being excited.

Agreed. My team hasn't been relevant since 1999. I'm excited for this season and the future. And yeah, I am "puffing my chest" a little because I finally have a respectable team. But as a lifelong fan, part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

i'm not surprised by the Lions....they've been adding talent the last couple seasons and now that they have a head coach that's been around for a while....it was just a matter of time before things clicked for them.

as long as they don't sweep the Packers this season.....that' the important thing!!

I think they will split. Both winning at home. And I'm definitely looking forward to the game in Detroit on Thanksgiving. I'm a Raven fan so that game is more important, but I think the DET/GB game will be ELECTRIFYING.

Never know with a good pass rush. And with Fairley back things could get even better.

if anything...they may end up splitting games again this year....but detroit almost had our # @ Lambeau last year.

i think our WR's are better than the Lions 2ndary but their D-line is def. better than our O-line.

if we have a healthy 2ndary, that s/b a good match up to watch as well....our 2ndary vs. their WR's.

BUT.....Rodgers only played 1 half last season in Detroit and they only won by 2.....SO.....the games will def. be interesting this year.

I would be thrilled with a split.

I think it'll be a tough game against Detroit but they are much worse on the road than at home and our defense is pretty stiff. I say we win yet again in a close one, say 24-21 as Romo leads us down again late and then the defense stands tall on their last gasp.

Bills to me are not good enough but could prove me wrong. Lions have all the talent, just need to keep Stafford healthy and get better on the road.

I think that Vick's style of play leads to him taking more punishment, and he certainly has taken his fair share of shots to the head early this season. Some of those hits have appeared to be a defensive player "targeting" his head, which should result in a roughing the passer penalty.

On the other hand, statistics show that Vick is being treated just like every other quarterback around the league. Since the start of the 2010 season, the Philadelphia Eagles have been the benefactors of more roughing the passer penalties than any other team in the NFC East. This season through three games, Vick has benefited from one roughing the passer call on 33 dropbacks under duress and four sacks, roughly three percent of the time. Through the first two weeks of the season, 13 roughing the passer penalties have been called around the league on 594 plays where the QB was under duress, roughly two percent of the snaps.

Vick's complaining while not complaining hold little merit. It's not some conspiracy.

So we're 2-1 just like I thought we'd be 3 games in, just the way we got there that surprised me. Really wish we were 3-0, would give us a bit more leeway going into this tough 2 game stretch against Detroit and New England. Go 1-1, take it 1 game at a time after that and hopefully be 5-3 or 6-2 going into the halfway point.

I think the Lions are really good and showed a lot of resiliency against the Vikings but I find it a bit odd that NFL.com has them ranked #3 in their power rankings. LOL@Raiders being ranked behind us though.

One would think so but I believe in one game last year the Lions beat the Packers 7-0, think it was in December.
