Anyone have a guess as of right now who would be the #1 qb in the 2016 draft ?

There's a few possibilities. Ohio State's Cardale Jones could be the first QB, but he might not even start for his own team. Michigan State's Connor Cook could have been the third QB taken in this year's draft if he had come out early. Scouts have loved Penn State's Christian Hackenberg since before he started college, but he's been pretty inconsistent in his two years in college, which can largely be blamed on his terrible offensive line. It could end up like the 2013 season as well were Blake Bortles pretty much came out of nowhere to become the top QB picked.

I wonder who and how much someone will pay for Hardy aka Mr. Assault
I think Brady would defer, Rice and Montana were the guys idols growing up and think he would have to much respect for them. I have nothing against Rice but he stepped in this pile of @#@# himself and it doesn't bother me in the least seeing him choke on his own words here. Imo this is bigger offense then spy gate or this ridicules deflate gate nonsense, hell lets call it what it really is which is "Attempt to derail the patriots 2 week up to the super bowl gate"! Funny how barley a peep since they shut the haters up last weekend.

I tell you the last week and half have been absolute fan bliss for me, first with the SB win, then seeing all the patriot haters look like they just ate a giant turd sandwich. And now the bandwagon haters step in their own pile and come out stinking and Sapp lmao! Only way this can get any better would be seeing the NFL investigation turn up tampering, but not on the patriots side but Indy's and watching that cocaine and pill abusing owner lose actual draft picks because of it!

They still cheated... Perhaps most are just tired of saying it... I sure am lol

stickum is not worse than Spygate... Sorry.

Pats fans are cute trying to say the Super Bowl washes away Deflategate. Whatever gets you to bed at night lol. I think it's just another asterisk in a long line of asterisks...

Rice cheated and now he is tainted. Sad because I thought he was the greatest football player of all time.

TBH I'm tired of the whole cheating debate. It's a shame that it keeps coming up. The draft can't come soon enough, so there is something else to talk about.

Like you said lots of other fans hate us...but i couldn't care less. They come up with excuses like oh you haven't won since spygate..now that they have just won they have nothing else to fall back on other then a smear campaign by the Colts and NFL with no facts on the issue.

They have to hold onto that instead of give the Pats credit. it's really sad but they just can't face it and i love it seeing them come up with excuse after excuse. If they really can't man up and give credit to where credit is due...they have issues.

There might be some other very good reason they "hate" you.

I'm withholding judgement until I see the report. But there is enough there to make me thing where there is smoke there is fire. If there is something to this, then of course it taints their super bowl win. If they are found guilty of deflating the balls then yes, it will look bad and everyone will always link it with the super bowl win, whether you like it or not. It's not a matter of if it gave them an advantage, or if it had anything to do with their winning the game. Just the fact that they caught multiple times cheating (If the accusations prove true that is...) Add in the fact if they are caught cheating on separate occasions what else have they done that they haven't been caught doing?

Like I said, I'm not in a rush to pass judgement before hearing all the facts. Both Belichick & Brady are in the discussion for best Coach and QB of all time, regardless of what happens. But it would sure tarnish both of their careers if they were implicit in the actions, especially in the light of their strong denials.

And that's fine by me..people don't have to like the pats and i don't care if they do or not. I just find it funny how quick people are to judge without true facts

I didn't know the NFL issued a verdict on the 'Deflategate' investigation

I'm curious about what kind of contract Welker could even get at this point. With his numbers last year and the likelihood that another concussion would end his career I'm not sure if I was a GM I'd offer him anything more than the veteran's minimum, and maybe not even that. Welker has made about $40 million in salary in his career so he shouldn't keep playing purely for the money.

He should. He doesn't look the same at all after those concussions

Welker would probably be a hall of famer if he spent his whole career in NE

Welker leaving New England had a lot more to do with the way he felt he was disrespected than money. Welker and his agents felt the Patriots were lowballing him with their initial offers and that they preferred Amendola from the start and were only going to re-sign Welker if it was for below market value. They also felt disrespected when they were negotiating after Welker was franchised and the team sent Floyd Reese, who had no authority to execute or change a deal, rather than Kraft or Belichick to the negotiations. Welker also reportedly had a more lucrative 2-year, $15 million offer from another AFC team (reportedly Tennessee but never confirmed), but wanted to go to a contender, so it wasn't all about money.

The Patriots and Welker's agency don't get along now and a big reason they signed guard/tackle Marcus Cannon to an extension was because tackle Nate Solder, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, is represented by Welker's agents and they think the hard feelings from the Welker negotiations could make it difficult to sign Solder to a new deal.

I realize he felt disrespected but to leave a contender like the Patriots for respect? Someone mentioned he could've been HoF material and it's very quite possible if he stayed. Receivers are such divas. Take your money, do your job. I hope he enjoyed the one decent year with Peyton.

If they kept Welker...Edelman would have been gone IMO. And idk..i would like to think they still would have made it..but who knows?

I also find it funny Brady is i think 12-0 in the playoffs without mankins..and 9-8 with him or something like that..just another stat but
