Even if the game doesn't sell out the Jags, a sponsor, or the local Fox affiliate will buy the remaining tickets. By taking advantage of the $.34 on the dollar rule and saying the average ticket remaining is $75 (which is probably too high an estimate) it would cost less than $50,000 to get the game sold out.

IRVING, Texas -- The NFL responded to the controversy regarding accusations of the Washington Redskins' defense mimicking the Dallas Cowboys' cadence Monday night by sending a memo to all 32 teams about the issue, according to manager Jerry Jones.

Jones said during a Friday appearance on KRLD-FM that the league's memo reminded teams that mimicking cadence is grounds for a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The Cowboys brought the issue to the NFL's attention after center Phil Costa had three early shotgun snaps during Monday's 18-16 win. Costa, quarterback Tony Romo and coach Jason Garrett said after the game that Washington defense players made sounds that mimicked the cadence, but those accusations were strongly refuted by the Redskins later in the week.

"That notice came out from the league this week, so I know that the league is looking at it," Jones said on KRLD-FM. "We in general though are approaching it, we've just got to make it work. We've got to get in here and have our count and have our snaps and not make it a point of concern for our quarterback and certainly not make it a point of concern for the game, because those are like turnovers and can be turnovers and do stop drives."

Costa, who also had a premature shotgun snap in the season opener declined Thursday to respond to Redskins defensive lineman Stephen Bowen's statement that the center was "lying" about the mimicked cadences.

Garrett said the Cowboys' simply need to get the issue rectified, regardless of what the defense does.

"There's been noise on the line of scrimmage in the NFL since Pudge Heffelfinger was around," Garrett said Thursday, referring to the first man to sign a pro football contract. "So, that's how it works. We just have to understand what the issues are there and we have to focus on whose voices we're listening to and just get locked in and snap the ball the way it needs to be snapped."

I just wonder if Detroit can handle the pressure, Stafford has really not started a lot of games and they're not very good on the road. Romo has been in the league for awhile now and is used to pressure to win games, I would consider this the biggest game of the year so far for us. To go into the bye 3-1 and then get a lot healthier going into the New England game would be huge for us. Git'r done Jason and Tony!

I see it the other way around, i'm wondering if the Cowboys can handle the pressure that will be coming from the vaunted Lions D-line

Fairley is not playing, I guess Schwartz has Parcells' policy of no practice, no play. If Garrett had that policy Bryant would play a lot less than he does. Detroit has possibly the best 4 man front in the NFL, I just hope Romo is ready to do what he did against Washington and get that ball out quickly every time on 3 step drops.

Coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Torrey Smith will make a second straight start in place of Lee Evans (ankle).
Smith is well worth stashing in deeper leagues, but he's not a recommended fantasy start against Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie in Week 4 after coach Rex Ryan promised to shut him down. Smith gets a bye in Week 5, and Evans is expected to return in Week 6.

Yeah but 1 really good game does not a career make, I'd give it 50-50 odds he has a good game. Probably won't see as many looks once Lee comes back though. Dez is a game-time decision again, I imagine if Austin could go they would just shut Dez down through the bye.

Austin will be back after the bye and he will be playing in a shoot-out, will probably get us 20+ points again.

The Packers have formally ruled out Ryan Grant for Week 4 due to a bruised kidney.
Grant just couldn't get medically cleared, so James Starks will start against the Broncos. While Denver's defense has stifled the run in its last two games, it's also been selling out to do so facing Andy Dalton/Cedric Benson and Matt Hasselbeck/Chris Johnson. The Broncos won't have that luxury against Aaron Rodgers. Consider Starks a strong RB2 play. This could be the opportunity he needs to leap ahead of Grant in the backfield pecking order for good.
