Patriots decline Wilfork's option, but may offer a different deal.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...pick-up-option

I'm increasingly happy my guys won the Super Bowl; looks likely that we have to build a new defense, with Revis, McCourty, and now Wilfork up in the air.

This is the most talented group of WRs that we've ever had. Now we just need someone to throw them the ball. This also means that quite possibly Harvin is cut, and we will not be drafting a WR in the first round.

LOL! I put the over/under on Marshall blowing up at Week #5.
Possilbly Week #4 in they start the season with a losing streak.

He's been saying this for a long time now, with no real evidence to back it up. He mentioned the fact that Peyton Manning could become a partial owner of the team.

Dude is a full blown idiot, talking out of his ass. I don't even know how he still has his job. He's horrible.

That said, I would LOVE new ownership. It's what we need more than anything... But we damn well better stay in this city. We need an owner that actually wants to live in Nashville and stay fully connected with the team. The Adams family still had a boner for Houston and would never leave.

And this is exactly why I tried to tell Titans fans that we'd be dumb to trade for him. Marshall is a head case and would hate playing on our crap team, just like he hated being in Miami at the time.

Unless the Jets find a way to get Winston, this is a dumb trade, and I'm sure Marshall is pissed that Geno Smith is his new QB. I'll laugh so hard if the Jets trade for Cutler now.

I am more confused by the Harris deal for a 30+ year old guy...

Marshall, Harvin, Decker...

Good thing they have a good QB to get them the ball!

I'm counting my blessings that the Colts didn't trade for Marshall. That would've been just awful. They're still in for a hell of a FA and will likely be back to the AFC Championship.

Panthers sign Big Mike

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-michael-oher/

Was hoping they would hold out for Jake Long when he's released. I dont see a big upgrade from what we had.

Winston is a bust, and Cutler is untradeable with that contract. A fifth rounder for a #1 WR is a good price.

I figure as much, but you never know, I guess.

I'm not sure when the bonus kicks in, but I'd assume he is released within the next day or so (before FA).

Mariota is a bust... Unless he goes to Philly.

You're ignoring all of the bad things about Marshall. The draft pick is a bargain, but it goes beyond that.

Have fun with him... He's horrible.

And with Cam rolling out to the right a lot, it could get ugly. Maybe a second fresh start will be good for him, but I hope you guys didn't overpay for him.

Wait a second... I'm hearing you guys are moving him back to LT? Oh god... Even worse. He was our worst OL last year, and our entire unit was absolutely garbage outside of Roos and Lewan.

Do you know who we had at LT last year? A garbage can would've provided more resistance than Byron Bell. Hoping they just signed Oher for depth and will sign another LT. The only positive sign I can see is that we have the same O line coach that Oher had during his best seasons at LT with Baltimore.

In that case, I suppose it could work out, but he's really, really bad right now. I honestly wouldn't expect much.

I didn't watch the Panthers very closely. I know Byron Bell is bad, but I'll warn you that Oher could be just as bad.

I thought the same thing when we replaced David Stewart with Oher... "Couldn't be worse than 2013 Stewart." I was wrong... Oher was worse.

If it weren't for The Blind Side, no one would know who he is. That movie made him into something he isn't

I said leading up to the draft that I didn't think he was that good of a player and that someone would probably reach for him simply due to the story alone.

Good movie though!

Patrick Willis has a similar story and is obviously a far better player... Also from Ole Miss. Should've done something on him.

It's really hard to rank them, but these are the guys I would remember the most on the team. My favorite player though has to be Jimmy Smith. He was always reliable when the ball was thrown his way. I love Fred Taylor too but there was a time when he was stamped as Fragile Fred and wasn't reliable earlier in his career. He might be one of the most underrated RB's ever in the NFL. He's still a top 20 in rushing yardage in the league. Just don't know if he's HOF bound.

I also like Keenan McCardell, James Stewart, and David Garrard, but I wouldn't put them in my top 5.
Pretty solid list.
