Interesting, I wonder what the odds are of this happening:

Quote:
Jay Glazer ‏@JayGlazer
Scoopage: Agent for LSU's La'el Collins trying to pull him from this draft allowing him time to clear his name then enter Supplemental Draft

Most are asking for a full police report clearing him before they are willing to draft him. Collins is slated to meet w police

NFL's call if Collins can get pulled from this draft
Edit: The CBA clearly states that a player that is eligible for the draft cannot bypass the draft and instead enter the supplemental draft, so it appears pretty unlikely Collins will be able to withdraw.

But it's because of that trade that team are going to be weary of giving up so much.

Mariota is similar to RG3 in a lot of ways. And in reality, RG3 was the better prospect coming out of college. Had the bigger, stronger arm, and that's my biggest concern with Mariota... arm strength.

The whole La'el Collins story is nuts. If be highly surprised if they let him withdraw this late.

The whole Collins situation is hard to figure out. He doesn't appear to be a suspect, but he certainly seems like a person of interest to the police. If his name gets cleared, he will have lost out on a boatload of money. He was looking to be a top 15 pick.

C'mon Browns... Give us three 1st rounders.
Do you have a wishlist for the middle rounds if you move there? Pick 33 is practically a 1st round too.

No surprise, no supplemental draft for Collins:

NFL rejected La'el Collins' request to be removed from draft until police complete murder investigation, per source. No supp draft for him.

I have a hard time seeing him go completely undrafted.

It's really hard to know who'll still be there, but the mid-round prospect I love the most is Gurley. Sounds like he won't make it beyond the Dolphins though.

For mid round (#10-20):
Parker
Gurley
Waynes
Shelton

For #33:
Ray
Gregory
Odighizuwa

It's due to the contract/guaranteed money.

If his name clears, he'd go in the 2nd in a supplemental draft and receive a more valuable contract.

He won't go undrafted... If he's sitting there in the 4th or 5th round, I'd take him.

More money. If he got cleared and got taken in the first round of the supplemental draft (costing a team their 2016 first round pick) he'd get paid like a first round pick. As an undrafted free agent each team is limited to approximately $75,000 for ALL their undrafted free agent signings. I'm not sure how realistic or if it's even legal for a team to give a huge base salary to an undrafted free agent or if there's a cap on what undrafted free agents make, but undrafted free agents can only sign up to a 3-year deal (at which point they'd be a restricted free agent).

Ray won't make it out of the first round, too many pass rushing needs.

Lol... I agree. This is why I hate the draft... Misinterpretations.

Just saying he'd be at the very top of my list if he did fall to #33. I expect at least one of the players I listed to be available. Most likely Odighizuwa.

As for Ray, I think Colts or Saints would be likely landing spots for him in the 1st.

I am holding out hope that we are able to trade back.

Bare minimum trade for me to be happy with it: Browns picks #12, #19, and #43.

That would be like a last second concession prize though. Gotta keep grilling them for three 1st rounders though. Meet somewhere in the middle.

Still don't want Mariota... but at this point I expect him to be a Titan in a few hours.

Ian Rapoport is saying the Eagles are being the most aggressive in trying to trade up.

Might even be trying for the #1 spot

Quote:
Here’s an intriguing rumor that has emerged with the draft less than three hours away.

As much of the trade chatter focuses on the Eagles trying to swing a deal with the Titans for the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, the Eagles also could be trying to go all the way to No. 1.

If the Titans are driving too hard of a bargain for the chance to get Marcus Mariota after the Buccaneers take Jameis Winston, the ideal Plan B could be to get Tampa to ditch its Plan A, offering a haul of players and picks in exchange for a 19-spot climb.

It’s unclear what the Eagles would offer, or what the Bucs would want. The Buccaneers could take quarterback Sam Bradford as part of the process, exchanging the many off-field questions surrounding Winston with a significant on-field question regarding Bradford’s twice-torn ACL.

For Tampa Bay, a chance to back out of the top spot could be enticing, especially if the offer gives them multiple pieces that would allow coach Lovie Smith and G.M. Jason Licht to more quickly build an entire team that fits their vision for the franchise’s offense and defense. It also gives the powers-that-be a way to avoid rolling the dice on Winston, especially if the Eagles make an offer than legitimately can be characterized as something the Bucs couldn’t refuse.

At a time when the Buccaneers want an extra first-round pick, this could be the way to make that happen — in 2015, 2016, and perhaps beyond.

Maybe the Eagles will spark talks with Tampa in an effort to persuade the Titans to be more reasonable in their demands. Regardless, the biggest question mark entering the first night of the draft potential will become a bit more interesting
I propose we just start the draft now. I'm tired of all the rumors. Or maybe I should just stop reading them

I'm fine with someone trading up with the Bucs for Mariota because then we can take Winston. Fine by me.
