IMO the Seahawks would be smarter to give him his money now. The longer they wait, the more they'll have to pay him. That's how the QB market works. Only way he gets less is if he just bombs this upcoming season, but considering they've added Graham now, he should be just fine.

Yet another stunning retirement by a member of the 49ers, as 25-year-old right tackle Anthony Davis has called it quits, at least for this season:

The NFL has pressured Tony Romo to cancel his fantasy football convention because it was to take place at a convention center connected to a casino. The NFL informed the NFLPA that "the inaugural National Fantasy Football Convention slated for July 10 to 12 in Las Vegas would be in violation of NFL rules by being held at a casino property."

From an NFL spokesman: "Players and NFL personnel may not participate in promotional activities or other appearances at or in connection with events that are held at or sponsored by casinos."

Fortunately, fantasy football is NEVER played for money.

In other news, the NFL will continue to require teams to release a weekly injury report for gambling purposes.

What is going on with the 49ers? Must be a toxic environment to cause that many guys to quit the game.
