I think the Vikings could be contenders within a few seasons... If AP can last that much longer. In the future, they can reduce his carries and let McKinnon take on a bigger role.

I'd put them as a playoff contender for this season, and I expect them to be one of the wild card teams. All about how Teddy progresses though. Barr/Bridgewater were my top choices for the Titans in 2014. Vikings came away with both. Bastards. But even aside from those two, they have a ton of young talent that will continue to get better.

Titans signed No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota to a four-year, $24.2 million contract with a club option for year five.
Finally. Mariota was the last first-round rookie to sign as the sides haggled over offset language. Per Terry McCormick of Titan Insider, Mariota and the team wound up compromising on "partial offsets." The Titans drew a ton of negative publicity for their delay in getting Mariota under contract, but he didn't miss any portion of the offseason because of it, and will be on time for training camp. By all accounts, Mariota was extremely impressive at OTAs and minicamp, showing pinpoint accuracy. He has the tools to turn around the Titans' franchise.

The Bills finally have a successful player again. WR Marquise Goodwin won a silver medal in long jump at the Pan Am Games.

His speed a real weapon, but he's always hurt.

The Ravens only have a 9% chance to make the playoffs? How? They've never missed the playoffs under Harbaugh.

I went to that article to see how he calculated it.

Pays little attention to schedule. Only uses 16 players per team to decide how good the team is. Bases his math on another set of shady math trying to figure out how good an individual player independent of position by using stats that are team stats.

What could possibly go wrong?

*EDIT* All I need to know about how bad that other statistic the guy is using is is that Rivers is not only "better" than Rodgers per the statistic, he's WAY better. Oh and Carson Palmer is a top 10 active QB. I know it's just a math formula and all that but come on.

That "study" ignores so many things it's not even funny. It's like saying the team with the best special teams will reach the playoffs.

Doesn't account for o line, schedule, coaching, and a ton of other stuff.

Only reason I wouldn't pick them to make it back is because they lost Suh and Fairley. Still have a weak secondary also, which will be exposed with a weakened pass rush. But their offense should keep them in the playoff hunt late into the season. I'd expect 8-8. On the bubble.

Speaking of their DL, I've been seeing Jim Washburn a lot lately at the gym. I honestly would say something to him because I am 99% sure I'm the only person who knows who he is, but he always has this murderous look on his face and doesn't want to be bothered.

I think that'll be my pick as well. Although I am torn between the Hawks and Pack.

If the Colts do make it as I expect they will, I hope they take a beat down like the Broncos did. Will be glorious for me to watch just as it was when the Hawks did it to them.
