I'd be surprised if any owner other than Kraft really thinks the suspension should be reduced.

Jamaal Charles competed in the Special Olympics... Well that seems fair. His parents should be ashamed that they allowed him to compete.

Sounds like The Ringer to me.

The Special Olympics is intended for people with intellectual disabilities, which Jamaal Charles has.

Then at least 50% of professional athletes would qualify... which isn't fair.

Just because you're inherently dumb doesn't mean you should be able to compete in the Special Olympics. I always viewed it being reserved for severe mental handicaps and mental retardation.

Anyone else truly thinks the Brady ruling will be announced today since the Pats report tomorrow?

Stephen A. Smith said that he's hearing that Brady's 4-game suspension will likely be upheld. Stephen A. Smith usually doesn't break NFL news and no other reporters have had similar reports so it'll be interesting to see if he has a solid source and if he's right.

You don't seem like a negative person, so this post surprises me. (unless you're talking about the Titans, but that's not pessimism, that's realism )

The Special Olympics are for athletes with mental disabilities. To say he's not handicapped enough to play or too physically gifted to play is pretty offensive to him and the rest of the athletes. I have watched these athletes play and it is pretty impressive.

That's because you're looking at what you normally see, which is your local area who will run their own events. But the real Special Olympics are very high caliber athletes.

There's also the rumor sneaking out that Brady allegedly destroyed his cell phone.

If that's true, how guilty do you have to be to destroy evidence?

If he'd have just came out and said "Yes I did it," the max they could have given in a $25 K fine for tampering with equiptment (what it said in the rules) or he'd 100% win in court. Now they can pretty much give him anything for lying to them (if they can prove he was lying).

But that doesnt mean anything they can still go back & access phone records cause they would still be on the servers.

Killing a phone would be like smashing your computer after you just sent a tweet.

My understanding was that only mentally retarded or severely mentally impaired could compete.

I know a guy who is mentally retarded who competes in the Special Olympics... Granted he's really good at golf, but I was always under the impression that pretty much all contestants had some form of mental retardation.

I didn't think you could just be dumb and compete. Seems very unfair and defeats the whole purpose IMO.

Yeah, Stephen A. was the one that said that and he backtracked pretty quick, saying that he'd heard that but couldn't confirm it. Most reporters wouldn't report a rumor that they don't have multiple sources on, but Stephen A. stopped being a real reporter a long time ago.
