Bill Parcells had more to do with the development of Tony Romo than Wade Phillips did, I would imagine Romo learned a lot from Jason Garrett and from being forced to watch Kitna for over half the past season.

What I mean by that is Romo had been the starter for 2006-2009 and probably had forgotten what it was like to be forced to watch someone else be the Cowboys' QB. That experience probably humbled him a bit and hopefully made him work harder than ever to be a top flight NFL QB. Oh and hoping Robinson gets rid of that nasty habit by our receivers not named Dez Bryant to tip passes to the other team, about half of Romo's 7 INTs last year were not his fault.

I know I'm just having fun

They need to stop forcing balls to Bryant its like T.O. all over again. I laughed so hard when they literally tried like 10+ times to throw him the ball in that first game. Any team is far more dangerous when you have no idea where the ball is going.

Please. DWare has been playing at high level for a long time. He has led the league in sacks twice and had a 20 sack season. Mathews is a good player but he was pretty average after the first half of last season.

The way I would put it is Ware is the better pass rusher, Matthews is the better playmaker but honestly I wouldn't want to have to choose between them. I do think we have a better #2 guy than Green Bay does, Ryan should really bring out the best in Spencer this year.

Pro Football Talk has a good article today wondering why the NFLPA is discouraging rookies from attending the draft yet plenty of players are still appearing on NFL Network. The NFL Network is owned by the very owners locking out the players, yet nearly every day current players are being interviewed on the network. PFT's Mike Florio thinks rookies should attend the draft if they want to and then on the first day of work bring a list of all the players that appeared on NFLN.

We're starting to get to a point where most players don't go to drafts anyway. Every year it seems like more and more high draft picks are just televised live from their homes with family. And I can understand that. If I were a deaft pick I'd rather be in my own neighborhood with friends and family.

Really glad that so far it doesn't sound like that Dallas mall took action against Dez when he went there yesterday. :whew:

Despite what he said about planning to go to the mall on Tuesday I haven't seen anything saying Dez actually went to the mall yesterday. His adviser and lawyer met with mall management yesterday to try to get the ban lifted, even though the adviser denies a ban even exists. The retailers are reportedly disappointed with the ban because Dez was a good customer who would sign autographs and tip well.

This story shows how big the NFL is when a story about a player possibly getting banned by a mall is a bigger story than March Madness and the upcoming start of the baseball season.

I was watching Rome is Burning yesterday….he was saying that Lovie Smith was tired of people dogging Cutler about the NFC Champ. Game and went after Charles Woodson for not going back into the Super Bowl after he broke his collar bone.

Anyone else hear anything about this??

The best part is Woodson was in there for a play after he broke his collarbone!!!

Cutler doesn’t even know when he got hurt!!!

I read Lovie's comments and do agree with him somewhat. Lovie wasn't criticizing Woodson (or Donald Driver, who Lovie also mentioned) for leaving the game, he was saying that the media should have been focusing on how Cutler tried to play through the injury rather than criticizing Cutler for leaving the game with what turned out to be a very real injury, and then 2 weeks later not saying a word when 2 other stars left a game and no criticism being leveled at them. Lovie's criticism was purely at the media and not at all towards Woodson or Driver.

I think the bigger problem is Cutler sat on the bench afterward and looked like he didn't give a crap about anything. Where Woodson and Driver could both be seen trying to help even from the sidelines.

Cutler has what I have, it could be what looked like a lack of caring to you was just his diabetes bothering him.

He should've said something than. That would have nipped it in the butt right off the bat.

Cutler has type 1 Diabetes but that had nothing to do with how Cutler was acting. That's just Cutler's personality and he's been that way since college. He's not the cheerleader type, and he never has been. Cutler had a leg injury so he was sitting on the bench moping. I'm sure if he had an upper body injury he would have been standing and trying to help but it was too painful for him to stand on his injured leg.

Well let's be honest, I'm guessing most people who have it don't really talk about it, a lot of people are probably embarrassed they have it.

A man in my local market just walked up to me and asked, "How could two groups not figure out a way to divide $9.3 BILLION?!" Good question.
Source - Twitter
Also agree with his comment that a deal would likely be 6 years, so basically they're arguing on how to divide $50 billion +.

i think the whole thing w/the media not attacking woodson or driver was b/c u could see they were hurt.

woodson in an arm brace and driver in a boot (i think)...where as cutler was in his pads and everything.

if u're hurt to the point of not coming in, go to the locker room, get diagnosed, and if it's serious, come back out on cructches.
