I can't believe how many Cowboys fans wanted Tebow to save our season, the guy simply lacks the tools necessary to consistently succeed in the NFL.

I know it opens up a can of worms with the "what if theres a holding somewhere during the play does that get called too" stuff but at least it would fix scenarios like this.

I say do away with the challenge flag altogether. Make every challangable play automatically reviewed by the booth. I'd guess that 95% of the time this could be done in under a minute, with very little impact on the game. With commercials bookending every kickoff, it's not like the NFL cares about allotted time, that much anyway. Maybe even add another 10mins to the early games to allow for potential booth reviews?
I'd rather see games run over and called accurately than timely games that result in botched calls.
In all fairness to the refs, this game moves so fast and overall they get the bulk of the calls correct. It's tough to be 100% on anything in life. Like us, refs are only human and prone to error.

Yeah, I can't really debate that. It is a shame to see, perhaps, the greatest QB of all time go out like this. I guess I will always be a Peyton Manning apologist. He has been a treat to watch over the years, both on then field and on SNL.

I definitely think this is an idea for the NFL to consider. Each game is so important in football.

The referee crew headed by Pete Morelli has been demoted from the prime time Sunday night game between the Colts and Steelers and will instead get the New England-Philly game after Morelli's crew made several mistakes in this past week's 49ers-Cardinals game.

I wonder if they even care? I mean, aside from the national TV exposure, the pay is the same.

The better refs based on their season pt rating system work playoff games & i would think that = more $$ then.

Yeah, good point and eventually the SB although what crew HASN'T had some sort of controversy this season?!

After all this catch/non catch nonsense, the fail mary call doesn't look so bad in hindsight. Maybe it's the rules, not the refs.

I am, I'm more for the Colts, Rams(they are my fav since the 60's when they were/should be the Los Angeles Rams), Lions as these have been my teams for a along time...jumped on the Packer bandwagon more since Rogers started!
