With the 1st pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the Cowboys select a QB (unless Jerry trades for Johnny Suckball), in which case I think they take a CB or a DT.

Also Manziel would be a perfect fit for the current Dallas Cowboys "leadership committee".

My hopes for next year's Cowboys' QBs -
1. Tony Romo
2. Jared Goff
3. Kellen Moore
The only Brown I want on this team next year is Josh Gordon, Manziel would cost too much.

You need to play Moore the next two games to see if there is anything to work with in him.

Matt Cassel is far more done than I thought he was, the Bills stole a 5th round pick from us on that one.

I think the highest pick cowboys can get is 4....winning that redskins game few wks ago really hurt.

They should still be able to get a franchise player, be it a defensive back, defensive lineman, QB or RB. I don't want a LB or any safety that can't force lots of takeaways that high though. Usually I'd be against LB period but Lee is always one hit away from missing time and McClain's play is like a yo yo.

You can never go wrong with an edge rusher.

We have Randy Gregory (granted he's been disappointing) and DeMarcus Lawrence who may be a top 5 LDE. I would actually rather re-sign the enigmatic Greg Hardy than spend a premium pick on an edge rusher. Our defense needs a 1T to stuff the run and collapse the pocket so our edge rushers and Crawford can go to work.

Do NOT draft a RB anywhere near the first half of the first round. It's a significant loss in value.

Just look at the difference with the Cowboys in 2014 and the Cowboys in 2015. As good as Run DMC has been, he's still inconsistent. We need someone for 3rd and short and for goal to go situations. Not to mention someone who can tote the rock 20-25 times a game, might have to go top 5 for that. I agree RBs are rarely worth a top 5 pick but it definitely depends on the team and the situation.

Trust in Jason Garrett's Cowboys who are 1-9 this year without their franchise QB to find a way to lose almost every time.

With RBs, college is meaningless. On average, 2nd round RBs are as valuable as 1st round RBs.

Comparing a pro to a pro is completely different. Run DMC has been significantly overrated since he came into the NFL.

Yeah I actually want a major difference maker for the defense or a pedigreed QB over a RB in the first round. However I know how Jerry feels about certain positions (especially in the draft) so I won't hold my breath.
