any team that decides to cover Johnson is going to have a chance @ beating the lions.

look @ what his HUGE accomplishment is this year....2 td's in every game so far.....stafford throws his way, take his only target away and limit his options.

no way Det. wins more than 10 games.

and Chi. may suck, but if that def. gets to stafford, that's a huge swing in Chi's favor.

GB lost to Det. by 2 AFTER Rodgers was knocked out for more than half the game......Rodgers is better this year than he was last year and s/b able to shred Det's 2ndary w/our recv'rs.

as far as outscoring their opponents in the 2nd half....look @ who they beat and what they scored.....MN and Dallas.

A win is a win it does not matter if you win by 1 point or 30 points no one is going to remember the scores just that you won.

To be fair, if Suh or Fairley (if he makes it) get to Rodgers you will have much worse problems. He gets too many concussions as it is. Hasn't he already had 4 in his first 3 seasons? The Lions have a great backup, he may not be Stafford, but he has had a lot of reps and play time with the first team.

And even if you decide to triple cover Megatron, he'll still catch it. Happened last week. He's just that good.

the point i was trying to make was if Rodgers played that whole game, it could've ended very differently.

and yes, the better D will win the GB/Det. game.....but Rodgers has a lot more weapons and is a hell of a better QB than Stafford @ this point.

and look @ their stats.....Johnson has 8 TD's this year.....Best has 1, and Schffler 2.

so yeah, take Johnson away and u take away 70% of their recv'ing TD's.

Stafford is young right now his problem is he does not spread the wealth, Once he manages that then yes he will be in nearly the same league as Rodgers. I wouldn't consider him in the same league fully until he wins a SB. Stafford is good, but his problem is hes young and predictable. This year the one main thing I noticed for his maturity is as soon as hes in trouble he scrambles and if noone is open he tosses the ball out of bounds. That's a Huge change for him.

As for most of those TD's its because they had Johnson in single coverage, yes Defenses are still to stupid to toss another man on him full time. That's why Dallas lost for the lost part Single coverage...

that's what i was getting @ w/my earlier post....take johnson away and force stafford to find another target and if u can frazzle him and force him into mistakes.....that's a huge swing for your def. if u can do that.

Thing is he can go to other receivers he just went to CJ because of the single coverage... Hell if ppl were stupid enough to leave Jennings or Finley single covered don't you think Rogers would go there more as well... O wait that was done 2 weeks ago and Finley had like 4 TD's lol

we shall see, right now im more worried bout peppers then anything last year he had 1 tackle in game 1 against the lions just 1 and he managed to kill Stafford.

Right now i think its a good chance the lions play @ 49ers in the wildcard playoff game.

If they win that then a good chance they play @ packers in divisional playoff game.

Then he has Nate, Young, Pettigrew, Best, etc to throw to. He's just been throwing to CJ because the opposition has been careless enough to single cover him.

I had them at 9-10 wins at the beginning of the season. Anything less, especially with a 4-0 start, is a disappointment.

And Stafford didn't play in that game at all. It was Drew Stanton, the Lions #3 QB that beat GB that day.

I don't know if I believe in Detroit yet. They could easily be 2-2 right now. I don't see them winning the division over the Packers. The Wild Card will be tough with all the competition from the East, South, and the Bears in their own division. It will be interesting to see what the Lions do against some of their upcoming opponents.

As far as all the single coverage talk goes, It sure looked like Dallas triple covered Johnson in the end zone and he still scored. Johnson is capable of beating double and apparently even triple coverage on a bad pass defense. He is a mismatch for most teams being 6'5" with speed.

Forget whether you think Detroit is 4-0 based on a couple great plays, opponents choking, weak schedule, whatever argument you want to make (I personally think the 4-0 record is making people look at them MORE critically... but anyways....)

Benny is completely wrong!!!! It's not a team that "Decides to cover CJ"

You honestly don't think EVERY defense that plays them doesn't sit there in practice and discuss "How do we shut down CJ"

He's had crazy amounts of attention on him by defenses, yet he scores seemingly at will.... he's just that much bigger and more athletic than the DB's etc...

Megatron is a stud.... before Stafford and before Stafford 'settled in' he was just a great player without much help..... he's a full blown stud now though.
