Lol... No I said the "hate train."

I want no part of this guy with the Titans. I know people will say it can't get worse and he has nothing to blow up here. While if technically can't get worse, I think he'd bring a similar stubborn approach just like Whiz did.

Just remember... Mariota's best two years at Oregon were without Chip.

Just say no to Chip.

This year, yes. Dating back to 2009, in the NFL he's had 2 major knee injuries, the ankle that kept him out 5 games and the 2 shoulder injuries in college.

They can begin their search of college head coaches ready to make the jump to the NFL and/or start surveying the current NFL landscape for potential coordinators that might be cut loose or begin interview requests for those that are currently on playoff bound teams.

Example:

"If you wanna look at potential Eagles names, start here -- Panthers DC Sean McDermott. Widely respected. Knows the Philly brass. A unifier."

Chip is a solid coach. He's just not good at making personnel moves as we saw in Philly. Whoever hires him should keep his behind the scenes decision making minimal.

I doubt Philly goes the college route. McDermott was already let go by Philly a few years ago.
I would be amazed if Philly makes a move before next week. Too many potential candidates in the playoffs, that are off limits until their teams are eliminated(or win it all). So firing Chip now was just a dumb move by Lurie, which I'm beginning to think is part of the problem.
For two decades we have seen how a meddlesome owner, who thinks they are a GM can ruin a team, in Dallas and Washington.
Lurie thought it was a mess before, lol, wait until next season!

I can't tell if he's joking or serious but it's funny either way. A "dinosaur truther."

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-ram...y-cog-for-rams

Quote:
Defensive ends William Hayes and Chris Long became fast friends in 2012, when Hayes signed with the St. Louis Rams.

Hayes and Long shared a love of jokes, both practical and verbal; hard work on the practice field and in the film and weight rooms; and an intense desire to win on game days. It's a friendship that has had few obstacles, with one notable exception.

Although it can often be hard to tell if Hayes is serious or joking, he vehemently protests that dinosaurs ever walked the earth.

"He thinks archaeologists place bones underground like a parent would place Easter eggs," Long said earlier this season, laughing. "They just planted them. It's some large conspiracy. He does not believe that dinosaurs ever existed and he thinks that mermaids are real. I love dinosaurs, so we have a big point of contention."

It's true. Whether or not it started out as a joke and grew into a conviction is irrelevant at this point. Ask Hayes about the existence of dinosaurs and mermaids and you'll get the type of mythological hot takes you're only likely to find on the furthest reaches of social media and the Internet.

"No, I don't believe dinosaurs existed," Hayes said last month. "Not even a little bit. With these bones, it's crazy because man has never seen a dinosaur, we can agree on that, right? But we know exactly how to put these bones together? I believe there is more of a chance you will find a mermaid than you will a dinosaur because we find different species in the water all the time.

"I don't understand how [Long] just believes in dinosaurs. That's just crazy to me. We know they died. We know what a T-Rex eats? That don't sound crazy to you? We have never seen a dinosaur before but we know exactly where every single rib [was] and which rib goes where. That's crazy to me."

Default Where Chip Kelly could land next . . .

http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/story/...chip-kelly-nfl

Tennessee Titans: Kelly has never hidden his affection for Marcus Mariota. Before the 2015 draft, he tried to trade up to acquire his former quarterback but couldn't put together a good enough deal. Tennessee could look to reunite the pair that was so successful together at Oregon.

Cleveland Browns: They showed interest in Kelly before he took the Eagles job. While Johnny Manziel's future in Cleveland seems uncertain, it's worth noting that Kelly recruited him heavily at Oregon before Manziel landed at Texas A&M. If the Browns want to hang on to Manziel and give him a legitimate chance to be a starter, Kelly could make sense.

Indianapolis Colts: If Chuck Pagano is let go, this would likely become the most attractive job on the market. Kelly struggled to find a franchise quarterback in Philadelphia, going from Michael Vick to Nick Foles to Sam Bradford. He would likely love to work with Andrew Luck, but then again, what candidate wouldn't? Is Kelly the type of coach that would interest owner Jim Irsay?

I don't think he's a good NFL coach. Too stubborn to make adjustments to his system.

The wildcat and read option sure did work well at the start. Now we're seeing less and less of them because they've been figured out.

Spread offense is the same way in the NFL. The more tape on it, the easier it is for DCs to game plan around it.

Chip got fired because he didn't want to give up GM duties. Wherever he goes, he's going to demand to have those duties. Knowing our ownership, we'll just kill two birds with one stone and give him full control. Might be exciting for the first few weeks, but he'll probably have Mariota running around like RG3 and the rest will be history.

Kelly no longer wants to run player personnel. He just wants to coach.

According to the Philly media, he was given the choice to reduce powers and he said no, so he got fired.

The Eagles owner said that report was untrue and the decision to fire him was final before they met with Kelly.

Peyton Manning leads the league in interceptions.

Yea... He's probably been humbled and realized he wasn't the smartest guy in the room.

Still wouldn't want him. I might not completely lose my mind if he's hired just to coach, but I still wouldn't be happy about it.

Gase continues to be my top choice... followed by Jackson who is a distant second. As of right now, I've yet to hear of many good candidates. There's McDaniels, but I don't trust Belichick prodigies and he already embarrassed himself once. Dude took Tebow in the 1st round. Hard for me to ever trust a guy for doing something that dumb.

The only reason he took Tebow is because Belichick said he'd take him. McDaniels is a idiot.

What you need is someone like Bruce Arians.

Everyone needs a guy like Arians. Not easy to find.

If we hire a Whiz again, we will have completely wasted Mariota's talents and he will leave here when he's a free agent.

Very important time for this franchise, which has completely fallen apart and lost a massive portion of its fan base. Winning cures everything, but it has to come quick.

I'm not expecting playoffs, of course... I'm just hoping for a season like the Raiders are having that suggests a page is being turned.

Going to be a very interesting coaching search for a lot of teams.

It looks like there are going to be at least 6 head coaching vacancies across the league.

Honestly wouldn't be that mad. He's certainly better than anything we've had for a while.

I don't think he's a bad coach. I think he's in a horrible situation with Jerry, who is never going to give up GM duties.

Maybe Cowboys can get Demarco Murray back. This season hurt his value for sure.

Damn Jerry Jones should've done everything he can to keep the triplet together. Who knows what could've happened this year.
