Detroit Lions are expected to hire Patriots director of pro scouting Bob Quinn as their general manager, league sources told ESPN.
I can't complain about this. Someone from a successful organization is fine with me.

So what determines AFC wild cards on Saturday and NFC on Sunday? Seems unfair to AFC.

Its official

Lions hired Patriots director of pro scouting Bob Quinn as their general manager.

Quinn, 39, has spent his entire career in New England, directing the pro (not college) scouting department the last three seasons. His player evaluations are highly regarded, but Quinn is a relative unknown among front-office executives. He beat out Giants assistant GM Kevin Abrams, Seahawks co-director of personnel Trent Kirchner, and in-house candidate Sheldon White for the job. Quinn will be tasked with turning around a rushing offense that ranked dead-last in the NFL while dealing with the Calvin Johnson retirement/salary cap situation. The Lions also need an injection of young talent on defense.

Cant remember the last time a Draft turned us around like that. Mack and then Carr. In the past we were always trying to draft the NCAA track and field champions.

I don't think people understand how much this should help the Vikings, I hope for my mother's sake Bridgewater can handle the stage though.

Get a bye then dont have to worry.

The theory on the all afc saturday is:

NBC last yr got a saturday wildcard game but this yr they get a sunday.
FOX gets sunday 4:30 because CBS has it next wk.
ESPN/ABC got kc/hou cause that the worst tv matchup of the 4.
CBS who only does afc playoff games obviously then got pit/cin which had to be saturday night then.

I know, I know.

Unfortunately, I'm not in the FO. Wyatt Earp is running the show.

Of call the coaching candidates, Mularkey and Chip included, I'd take any of them over Marrone.
