That said, I don't buy it just yet. McDaniels expressed interest in our position. We are about to hire a new GM (hopefully Ballard). Why would any source pretend to know what the new GM wants? And why would any new GM bet their tenure on Mularkey? Only way we hire Mularkey is if we are dumb enough to hire a HC before GM, which would signal just how inept our ownership is.

My prediction is Ballard (or Robinson) + McDaniels.

As horrific as we are, I don't buy this at all.

Sure, they'd prefer certain openings over ours, but FWIW, NFL.com ranked us the #2 designation for new head coaches (behind only Tampa). Not that they know what they're talking about, but I agree with the reasoning.

Small market, Low expectations, nice area, and Mariota. Would someone really prefer the Browns or Niners job over ours? People undervalue what a QB like Mariota means. Build around him and there's hope.

Titans were a strong franchise (not in the last 10 years) once, they could be again. I just don't see your team sitting tight at #1, they will probably trade back. Hope Will McClay keeps Jerry from giving up our 1st, 2nd and 3rd to move up for the #1 pick, we need SO much more than what the #1 overall pick in the draft would give us.

I would love to trade back, but it's not realistic unless Lynch/Goff tear up the combine and a team wants to jump the Browns.

Aside from that, no one is going to give up the price tag for the #1 pick. We can't just give it up for nothing.

The roster is still one of the worst in the league.

Good luck, the Titans have been terrible for a long time and they deserve better.

It's going to be Mularkey. Lol

You guys don't have a GM and have yet to interview any other coach.

New GM will be named tomorrow or Wednesday. Book it. Hopefully it's Ballard.

We haven't even interviewed Mularkey yet. He and Marrone are scheduled for Thursday. I am cautiously optimistic that we are just getting the bums out of the way first. Nobody is going to be fighting us for Mularkey/Marrone. They are last resorts if nothing else pans out.

My money is still on McDaniels, for better or worse.

I won't be in panic mode unless Thursday comes and we interview Mularkey and Marrone without a GM in place.

I'm hoping Oakland (LA? San Antonio?) can start to actually sign some attractive free agents at market value now that we're a competent franchise. We have a ton of cap space to work with.

Thinking the Chargers moving to LA will impact that a bit, can only imagine how many players would want to be the first free agents signed to the franchise that took the NFL back to Hollywood.

Is San Antonio actually a realistic scenario?

Supposedly if the Rams and Chargers end up together in Inglewood then the Raiders want to move to San Antonio. I really have no idea how this will end up. The relocation committee is reportedly going to recommend the Carson project with the Chargers and Raiders moving there, but that doesn't mean the owners will vote that way. There's also the problem that Stan Kroenke's relocation documents were so negative towards the city of St. Louis that I don't see how he could remain the Rams owner if they don't get approval to move.

Titans just have a bad year to have the top pick. They already have their quarterback they want to build around, and there isn't a true #1 pick in the draft this year. If only Watson was one year older they could get a kings ransom for that pick.

You better not play that $1.5 billion powerball based on your current prognostication skills.

I said he should not get a suspension for that play alone. His history of play is a different matter.

If what is being leaked out is true, the Rams might be the team left out. The joint Chargers/Raiders project seems to be the one gaining the most steam with owners.

Even without his history he should've been suspended. From my point of view he clearly put his shoulder out there with the intent of hitting Brown in the head.

The Rams moving alone to Inglewood has been pulled off the ballot at the owner's meeting. It's now either Chargers or Raiders/Rams in Inglewood or Chargers/Raiders in Carson.
