Glad the Rams are back in LA tho. They belong there. When i was a kid the Raiders were in LA so i kind of wanted them to go back but when has the NFL ever sided with us? LOL.

Both OAK and SD belong in their current cities...their respective fan bases are rabid. STL...not so much. You're talking about a city that has lost TWO NFL teams...they've lost their rights.

I want a new stadium. O.Co Coliseum seriously resembles a federal penitentiary. The facilities are awful, we played on dirt for two months a year lol. The players hate it. The black hole is great but we have a tarp covering the upper bowl so fans arent really pouring in. Im not in Oakland so i didn't care if it ended up being LA. I just hope its not San Antonio.

I have to agree there, I know the Texans have some fans and the Cowboys are struggling but I don't think a third Texas NFL team is a good idea. Especially since Jerry Jones is still one of the most influential owners in the NFL.

The Texans have fans? Interesting.

I would imagine 80-90% of the NFL fans in Texas are Cowboys fans or Cowboys haters. Not sure how one would become a Texans fan, might either be Oilers left-overs or Cowboys haters or both.

After the fact! I was asking that question as soon as they lined up!
Ben wasn't really lighting it up, and that was before he hurt his shoulder. The Cincy offense, minus the AJ to AJ TD was pretty meh all night. So logic dictates that scoring in the final minute, needing to throw the ball, in bad weather, with a hurt shoulder offers a very slim chance. Of course we will never know, but had they played it safe/kicked AND all those dumb penalties still happened, they probably still would've won.
As it stands this game will be filed under "What NOT To Do" in the film room. For many different things.

A lot of them remained Titans fans... until we sucked and the Texans jumped us back in 2011.

Also, if you lived in Texas and didn't have a favorite team, maybe you choose to support the Texans back in 2002. Who knows.

LA is a major metro area that could provide huge dividends to the NFL.

What does St. Louis offer?

That's like asking if you want a franchise in New York or Tampa Bay....

Point being is that STL lost two that were never replaced. LA lost the Raiders and Rams and got the Rams back.

Keep in mind this move was essentially telegraphed a few years back when Gronke purchased the land in Englewood...it was just a matter of time, he forced their hand. In addition, a few local counties owe a considerable amount of money on Edward Jones stadium. I also have to wonder if the recent civil unrest in and around the STL area factored into the decision to move.
Correct, it will be 2019 when the Inglewood stadium is ready. Initially Kroenke said if construction began this year the stadium would be ready for the 2018 season, but he now says it won't be ready until the 2019 season. Part of that may be due to the concerns about the location from the FAA which is worried that the stadium is too close to LAX and the bright lights of the stadium could distract pilots and interfere with radars. It's unlikely that concern will be a big problem, but it needs to be addressed before the plans are finalized.

It's a virtual certainty the Rams will be playing at the Coliseum for the next 3 seasons. Where another team will be is a bit of a question mark and is why the Chargers (and Raiders) will likely be staying put this season while they work to get new stadiums. The Coliseum lease would not allow for 2 NFL teams as well as USC to use the stadium, but the lease could be amended. In addition although officials from The Rose Bowl, Angels Stadium, Dodger Stadium, or The Stub Hub Center were not interested in temporarily housing an NFL team it's possible they could change their minds if the NFL offered enough money. Neither of the baseball stadiums would be ideal for football for multiple reasons and the Stub Hub Center only seats 27,000, so they would court the Rose Bowl the hardest if the Coliseum couldn't hold 2 teams.

Ya gotta believe that OAK and SD will use the Rams's move as leverage to get what they want from the local community and the NFL. I mean, shoot the NFL just kicked in $100M each to SD and OAK to assist in the building of their new stadiums.

City of Oakland is offering zero dollars, which is why it surprised me that we came in 3rd place in voting (although not really because Kroenke's plan makes everyone the most money apparently). San Diego and St. Louis were at least trying to work on a deal to fund new stadiums.

Bay Area news is saying Mark Davis may have to give-in and play at Levi's Stadium. I don't see that happening. I read something saying that the Raiders should explore Portland. Would Oregon support someone other than the Ducks? The Oregon Raiders would be weird. Someone said the new blackhole folks would ride bicycles to games and wear flannel and skinny jeans.

Every game for the Texans has been sold out and there is a waiting list (supposedly 28,000) to get season tickets.
Yes we lost the Oilers and before anyone thinks we lost them because we did not support the team, it was the owner that we did not support and he held the city hostage a few times to try to get a new stadium or stadium improvements.
He made a threat to move to Jacksonville and the city took down the famous scoreboard at the Astrodome to put in new seats (The city still paid for this improvement YEARS after he moved the team to Tennessee). His last threat to move was when the city finally said no and you can't blame the fans for staying away from the games that final year in the Dome.
Many fans became Titans, some (like me) just stopped watching the games on Sunday, some jump shipped to the Cowboys. Then when the Texans came back, the city realized what we had missed in football. Couple that with tailgating now being allowed at the stadium when it was not allowed at the Astrodome and you get a very appreciative and supportive fan base. We take a large Traveling Texans group to many road games. Some like you guys will laugh at there being Texans fans because certainly the product on the field doesn't merit it but we are out here. Diehard Texans fans.

they have enough fans for a traffic jam apparently. I was driving across the south one Sunday and got caught in I-10 traffic outside of Reliant Stadium. 5 hours later I got stuck in Superdome traffic.

The other owners hate Mark Davis. They hated Al Davis, and everyone thinks Mark is an idiot (Raiders employees nicknamed him Tommy Boy when his dad owned the team after Chris Farley's character in the movie). As long as Mark Davis owns the team the owners will always give him the shaft. The other owners are hoping the lack of a suitable stadium will force Davis to sell the team.
