Logic tells me to pick the Panthers because they are the better team, but every time a story book Super Bowl ending has come up, it is always fulfilled.

Elway, Bettis, Lewis, etc.

And the best team doesn't always win. It is hard to imagine the Panthers losing at this point, but I'll say that Talib, Harris, Roby shouldn't have nearly as much trouble with Ginn and Brown. It's a good matchup for both teams.

Peyton will have to step up if they're gonna win.

If the Panthers win, I'll forever be able to say I was at the game where they got the 1 in 18-1.

It's really incredible and unbelievable that they could end up with one of the greatest single season teams in the NFL history. They could join the 72 Dolphins of course, 84 Niners, and 85 Bears as the only 1 loss or fewer SB champions. I know there are great dynasties and 2-3 loss champions but that's pretty impressive if they pull it off.

Feels weird that Peyton Manning is probably going to retire with a winning (3-2) postseason record against Tom Brady. Until looking up their head to head matchups I'd just assumed Brady was leading Peyton in head to head postseason games. Brady actually hasn't beaten Peyton in the postseason since 2004. If you include both Manning brothers Brady is just 2-5 in the postseason against them.

(Face palm) bruhhhhh you obviously watch no football. Cam not an accurate passer? Lol. He does make an errant throw every now and then. But just like Bucci just said on sportscenter, if there was a redraft tmrw for every player in the league... Cam Newton is probably going first over absolutely everybody. What he does is so special, numbers don't do it justice. All though 52 total touchdowns is pretty impressive...

I disagree with most of what that poster said but he's right in that Cam isn't a very accurate passer. Cam Newton's completion rate was 59.8% this season, 28th out of 34 QB's. Though any comparison to Dilfer is crazy talk. Cam's other abilities on the field makes him a well above average QB. He does deserve to be named MVP but I think the jury is still out on whether or not he's an elite QB. I'd have to see another year or two like this one before deeming him elite considering 2015 was his first top-tier season.

I'll take Aaron Rodgers any day of the week, before Dilf..I mean Newton. He is a below average passer before this year, hell even that below average passer Joe Flacco won a Super Bowl. Point is everybody wants to anoint Cam as the best, but ignore his deficiency's. And for the most part this year he's been at least average to me. Doesn't do to much to cost his team the game, manages the clock, hands off the ball or runs it himself. Not a traditional pocket passer or Quarterback at all. Steve Young IS the best running and throwing combination Quarterback the NFL has ever seen.

Have you even watched a single Panthers game this season?

Shame you can't assess the situation with an unbiased eye (obviously you're a Bay Area fan). But that's fine, CAMS GONNA KEEP ON DABBIN ALL THE WAY TO YOUR STADIUM BRUH

Cam had 4 total TDs today. I feel pretty confident without looking it up that Dilfer never had 4 TDs in any game in his career.

Again, without looking it up, I bet Dilfer threw around 12 TDs in the 2000 regular season. If that. And then he probably threw no more than 4 in the playoffs (4 games).

EDIT: After I looked it up... He threw 12 TDs to 11 INTs. In the playoffs he threw 3 TDs to 1 INT. There's no comparing Dilfer to Cam. Peyton, on the other hand, the comparisons are absolutely there.

Dilfer was a garbage QB. I may not like Cam, but he's damn good. Took his game to another level this year... with a really mediocre WR corps sans Benjamin.

Part of me says the Broncos can't win this game, but then part of me said the Broncos couldn't win yesterday's game either.

That defense is sick. I guess we'll see if they can bottle up Cam. I guess we'll also see how Cam does in the Super Bowl lights for the first time.

And what is the significance of that? Big deal, ATL beat the (presumed) eventual SB champion. It carries no weight whatsoever.

Just FYI on Cam Newton....he has the same career completion percentage as Dan Marino. I don't see anybody coming out saying Dan wasn't a good passer. Completion percentage is a result of throwing down field instead of taking 3-4 yard check down passes all day. But keep on hating.

Scam Newton has improved drastically this year. Anyone who does not see it is just a tool.
