And sometimes in the faces of the defense? Seriously?

If Cam Newton celebrated every touchdown with ONLY his "Dab" or ONLY his "Superman Shirt Tear", I wouldn't have a problem. However... I think he goes just a SMIDGE overboard.

Aaron Rodgers

Cam Newton

And my personal favorite. He's so interested in the fan reaction to his antics, he doesn't even watch where he's going.

For those of you Cam supporters who think me calling him cocky makes him any less of an athlete, you're sorely mistaken. I think he's a great quarterback, I think he's a hell of an athlete, and if he can continue to do what he did in 2015 on the field of PLAY, with maybe just a little bit less of the "in your face" attitude, Carolina's going to be a force to be reckoned with for the next several years.
Act like you've been there before Cam.

He hasn't been there before. The celebrations of today are nothing compared to the 80's-90's. Get over it people. I'd like to see more unique TD celebrations in the NFL, not fewer. Jeebus, some of you sound like cranky old geezers yelling at kids to get off your lawn.

The Broncos had traded up the prior year to get Tim Tebow so they likely would have traded down or stuck with Von Miller at #2 (although they had a new coach in John Fox who didn't want Tebow so Cam may have been in play for them). That means that Newton could have potentially ended up in Buffalo at #3 or the Bengals (who would draft Dalton in the second round that year) at #4.
I still remember thinking poor Panthers when Luck decided to return to Stanford instead of entering the draft.

No pun intended, but they're lucky he didn't declare for the draft. Cam has now ascended Luck (who I still say is the most overrated QB in the league).

I'll never forget seeing all the different mocks for the Titans at pick #8. Any of the mocked picks would've been better than what we did. I wasn't particularly high on ANY QB that year, Cam included. But he was obviously the best choice of the bunch if you're picking early. How Gabbert and Locker were ever hyped up so much, I'll never know. Hated both of them coming out of college. Wanted the Titans to take Peterson, Quinn, Fairley, Watt (in that order) at #8 and then Dalton in the 2nd if he was available (which he wasn't). Screamed at the TV when Goodell called Locker's name and I left the room.

I think they're scared of getting flagged if they get too unique and creative. You're right though, let them have fun. Don't like it? Don't let them score.

I meant scoring a TD, not him going to the Super Bowl. But I'm pretty sure you knew what I meant since that saying is for players over celebrate in the Endzone.

And some of us want to watch football, not a player making an ass of himself and rubbing it in the other teams face. But what do I know, right? I'm not a bandwagon fan, I was brought up to respect my opponent in all aspects of life.

Patriots o line coach fired.

Brady took 20 hits in the game, maybe more. It was the most hits any QB took in a game in 10 years.

Incredible they were still in a position to win that game.

Surely Cutler has had more than that. Didn't he get sacked like 12 times in the first half of a game a few years ago?

Think he got pulled after the half.

When the QB is getting knocked around like Brady was, they usually have a meltdown like Carson Palmer. How Brady was able to keep it respectable and put up 300 yards was impressive.

The quarterbacks voted to the Pro Bowl:
Cam Newton - Out due to Super Bowl
Tom Brady - Out due to injury
Ben Roethlisberger - Out due to injury
Carson Palmer - Out due to injury
Aaron Rodgers - Out due to injury
Russell Wilson - Actually playing in the game

Replacements:
Derek Carr
Eli Manning
Phillip Rivers - Turned down playing in the game
Tyrod Taylor
Teddy Bridgewater
Jameis Winston

Rivers won't be credited as a Pro Bowler because alternates don't get credit for making the Pro Bowl unless they actually play in the game but that still means 11 QBs will be credited as Pro Bowl players.

If that isn't proof of what an absolute joke it is, I don't know what is. They need to go back to the old skills competitions of the past, those were awesome.

Cam doesn't need to be scoring to be celebrating.

"Don't like it, don't let them make any play ever" is a much harder argument to make.

I'm ok with scoring celebrations. Cam takes it quite a bit farther than that.

love my team but I can't believe that Carr, Cooper, and Murray are all Pro Bowlers. If you told me that last summer i'd think we'd be a Playoff team

Does it really.matter? Just do what everyone does, judge thebtop level players by the all-insert league awards with the exception of a few elite players just missing the cut

Carson Wentz is such a unique story. He was a no star recruit coming out of high school and played college football at North Dakota State. He very well could be a top 5 pick and even had a chance at being the first quarterback picked.

I wouldn't be against the Cowboys taking him with their pick as long as they have a plan in place to get him ready to play this year when Tony goes down. Probably need a much better QB coach and maybe head coach as well for this scenario.

I don't think the Cowboys should go QB with their first pick. The way Romo's contract is structured virtually guarantees he'll be in Dallas for at least 2 more years because the dead money on his contract makes it nearly impossible to cut or trade him, so if they pick a QB with their first pick he'll be the backup for a couple seasons and will only play if Romo goes down. While last year was an injury-prone year for Romo he's been very durable in recent years, only missing 2 games in the 4 seasons prior to this season. Dallas obviously needs to upgrade their backup QB, but I think a second round pick would be a better idea if they don't get someone in free agency.
