Cliff should definitely be in. How is Lynn Swann in over Cliff Branch? Always wondered about that.

Those are 3 future superstars (not sold on Taylor yet, but willing to be proven wrong). Carr and Bridgewater did pretty good, but those defenders weren't even trying so it wasn't much of a test. I turned it off before Winston & Taylor came in.

Tony Dungy has said that Peyton could never be a head coach. He says that Peyton is too much of a perfectionist and would drive himself crazy because unless he had an amazing QB he'd get incredibly frustrated every time the QB made a mistake.

Peyton isn't' rich enough to be the majority owner of a team but could run a team like John Elway in Denver. Browns owner Jimmy Haslem is a Tennessee grad and has known Manning for years and even though he just hired a new front office it wouldn't be a surprise if he offered Peyton a chance to run the Browns. If the Titans go up for sale (as rumored since Bud Adams died) Peyton could join an ownership group as a minority owner and GM, and if the Saints were sold after Tom Benson passes Manning and his family could make a play for partial ownership.

The question becomes whether Manning wants a job as demanding as running a team or if he'd prefer a much easier TV job. Manning would have his choice between pretty much every studio job or he could call games.

I suspect you'll see the latter and not the former.

I agree that Carr is likely a future star...

But I disagree with the other two.

In 2013, Shariff Floyd and Xavier Rhodes were in my top 5 for us in the 1st. Vikings got both. In 2014, Barr and Bridgewater were my top 2 choices. Vikings again got both. I immoderately said they'd be Super Bowl contenders within 4 years. There's still a chance of that, but Teddy has disappointed me. I thought this year he'd be making strides... Didn't look any better. No freaking clue how he made the Pro Bowl.

Future? Maybe. Some of them were definitely not worthy of the pro bowl this year so it was a sham that they got credited for it.

His numbers outside of those big games were pretty pedestrian. I know the game wasn't revolutionary as far as the passing game in the 70s. I'll say he should be in the Hall based off of his SB performances and the way the game was played back then and he did have to wait a while but WRs like Pearson and Branch should be in and were probably better WRs.

Yeah but Cliff has 3 rings, a TD in each of those and better numbers for a career
IDK. Swann had two pretty catches and then i know him as a brodcaster.

It's alleged that part of the reason Dallas dumped Joseph Randle, aside from the arrests, was that he had a gambling problem. He was involved in sports gambling, though no evidence he placed bets on the NFL.

Even with completely avoiding NFLN, ESPN and most social media, there is simply no getting around the hype for the Super Bowl. I'm well over it and there's still several more days of it.

This statement by Browns EVP Sashi Brown definitely seems to imply the team will be releasing Johnny Manziel once they're allowed:

Quote:
"We've been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny's continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization. His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time."
