Talib's always been like that though so that kind of behaviour in the Super Bowl didn't surprise me at all.

I'm pretty sure Peyton walked off the field without congratulating any Saints players a few years ago.

Worse, he's been known to be just flat-out mean (idiot kicker, anyone?). I say this as a Colts fan who enjoyed watching him for years.

Brady and Rodgers can also get surly with the media.

Russell Wilson doesn't get the hate Cam does and he would if your theory was true.

Rodgers not liking to get interrupted is all I remember from him. Nothing like Cam at all.

Some of those quotes by Talib really bother me.
Looks like his professionalism went down nine points when he left NE.

Wilson gets more hate for being perceived as fake and now pushing his relationship with Ciara all over social media.

Peyton is getting paid.

First person he "kissed" after winning the Super Bowl? Papa John! Then like Chad said he had to throw in some Budweiser promos in there. Dude is already playing the corporate game to the max. He's retired. Book it.

I was waiting for him to say "You know, Jim, i'm gonna take some time. Drive around in my Buick, watch some Netflix with my wife on my new LG LED and then maybe reflect on my career while drinking an ice cold Pepsi."

really tho. Some big names leaving this year. Charles Woodson, Calvin Johnson, Peyton Manning, Marshawn Lynch. Crazy. Peyton and Woodson are going into the HOF together all those years after battling for the Heisman.

Wonder when they stopped requiring people to say I'm going to Disneyland! after winning the Super Bowl.

Lol Pretty much. Would take 3-4 years to even have a shot and that's only if we rebuild properly. 100% sold on Mariota though. Led the NFL in red zone passer rating... We just need to be able to get him in the red zone more often. OL and run game were non-existent.

Interesting stat to consider...

All but one team (Lions) in the top 10 for sacks made the playoffs. Broncos were #1. Panthers were #2. And apparently this has been a fairly common theme.

I'm torn between Ramsey and Bosa. Feel like Ramsey is the safer bet, but Bosa could explode and make a massive difference.

Titans ranked #12 in sacks. Silver lining maybe? Lol

Lol, in addition to salary cap savings, this is why he was shipped off from Philly.
While it's not a crime, Shady just can't stay off social media and it wore thin with the front office.
A good thing Shady was thrown out of the club as he probably would've left a horrible tip anyway.
At the minimum this is just another example of Shady putting himself in a bad situation. At worst he's directly charged with felonious assault.
Either way, he doesn't win here.

Were players ever actually required to say that? I thought it was just an unwritten tradition among players that took off over time?

Yeah, I see FAR more hate at Cam than Wilson. With Wilson it's mostly just stuff like "you're overrated." With Cam it's huge numbers of people calling him extremely racist things.

fatediesel is probably the best person to answer that, not sure where he is though. As far as Supah Scam, he just needs a publicist or a personal advisor to help him change his public image and after a period of time his haters will start to dwindle.

I don't think it was ever required. It just started when Eisner's wife approached both Phil Simms and John Elway in 1987, offering $75k to the winner of that game to say it. Simms hoisted Lombardi and got some side cash.
There was no rhyme or reason as to who was selected, just that they had have won, as its extended to other professional sports too.
It's been going on every since, with the exception of 2005, I believe.

A lot of that's probably the Patriots. Seems like they never beat the spread when they're in the SB. They were heavy underdogs when the beat the Rams but they didn't beat the spread their next four times, winning twice by a small margins and losing twice to the Giants when they were favored. Think they're just 2-4 against the spread in the SB during the Brady era.
