I'm guessing the owner had a lot of say in this decision. The Rams need a franchise QB to sell PSLs in their new stadium. People in LA want to see stars and they aren't going to be paying as much as $50,000 plus the cost of season tickets to see a QB like Case Keenum.

Thank God, Philly didn't make that trade! If anything I hope they trade down!

Rams better pray that they draft a franchise quarterback. That is a TON of picks to trade away.

Rumor has it that Wentz is the guy Rams will take #1. I guess that buys Fisher a few more years.

Hey, Fisher...

SUCK IT!!!!

Jon Robinson, baby!!! Guess I gotta change my avatar now and start thinking about who can fall to 15. It's further than I wanted to trade back, but I'll take it!

I was just waiting for you to chime in with a post! Ya gotta love the position your team is in. Now go and send a thank you note to the Rams, haha.

I don't like this trade as a Texans fan. Y'all got a lot and should be able to build that team and it won't take much to compete in this division. 15 may be further back than you had wanted but with so many draft picks this year and next, the Titans can still move up to get the player they want.

It's funny that the Rams and Jeff Fisher are telling people they agreed to the trade last night but held off on announcing it until today because they didn't want to take attention away from Kobe Bryant's final game. Kobe retiring is one of the biggest stories in LA in years and the Rams are still an afterthought to most people in LA. If they had announced it last night it would have been completely overshadowed by Kobe (not to mention the Warriors going for 73).

Very risky move for the Rams. If their chosen QB doesn't become at least a Joe Flacco level quality QB this deal is going to be a disaster for them. Great return for the pick for Tennessee.

Am I the only one not impressed by any of the QBs being touted as first round picks?

No, that seems to be the common consensus. Goff put up big numbers but his team was bad. Wentz was a winner but that was against FCS competition. If either of them had been in last year's draft they wouldn't have even been in the conversation for the first or second pick, but teams are desperate for quarterbacks and are going to take the top QBs early and that will likely lead to Goff and Wentz going 1-2.

Something popped in my head when this trade happened... I said to myself we're going to win a Super Bowl within 5 years. Then I tried to bring myself back down to reality and admitted that was very much a homer statement.

Now I just read an interesting stat...

Last 3 teams with 6 picks in the top 76 (what we have this year) all won a Super Bowl within 5 years... 75 Rams, 82 Pats, 91 Cowboys.

Let's keep that stat going!!!
