Nobody is worth that much!

I hate the deal too we had a good spot with the 8th selection they don't need to spend more at QB

Nice avatar!
Well only time will tell if this was the right move. Looks like The Bradford deal just became a 1yr deal. So that will be $20mil off the books next year. Peters will be gone, another ~$10mil. Which is why I was really hoping to draft an OL with that 8th pick.

Thank god Cleveland traded the number two pick, otherwise they would've done something stupid like get Wentz or Goff and start him for fan service, then give up on him at the end of the season for not performing well. They don't need to get an unknown quarterback in this draft when they don't have WRs, off oline, cornerback to help Had and other def playmakers. They need to build the up the team with playmakers so that when they do go get their qb, he would actually have a chance to succeed.

Sounds like the Cowboys might be losing another of their starting defensive ends:

Quote:
Dallas Cowboys starting defensive end Demarcus Lawrence will be suspended for a failed offseason drug test, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told Chat Sports on Wednesday.

Lawrence tested positive for amphetamines, according to the source, which typically carries a penalty of four games. The Cowboys are expected to make an announcement regarding the suspension within the next 24 hours.
So far I haven't seen any major news outlets reporting this, so right now it's just a rumor.

So let me get this straight, eagles gave up a 1, a 2, and a 3, to move up 6 spots?

You should be more happy then that, I'm 40 years old and this is by far the absolute best draft move I have ever seen the Browns make period, moves like this build championship teams!

Eagles Fans nothing much to say other then your team got hosed on this deal, trades like this will ensure your team is a bottom dweller for the next half decade to come! I think it's clear now that Chip was not the true problem in your organization.

Not just worse, but monumentally worse!

Really ranks up there for possible worst ever, though I think Ditka giving his entire draft up for Ricky still is number one on my list.

Half decade? Lol! The reigning NFC East Champs disagree with that.
Now I agree it's a good deal for the Browns...but history 100% shows they will botch every one of those picks anyway!

Chip leaves and the Eagles continue to make dumb moves... And they just let the Browns hustle them.

I have a friend who's an Eagles fan texting me nonstop right now. He's in apocalyptic mode.

So dumb. Let's spend $25mil this season on Bradford and Daniel. Now let's give up all our picks for Wentz or Goff. Lol embarrassing really.

This wouldn't be so bad if they had let Bradford walk. Now it's incredibly dumb. One of the worst ideas I've ever seen.

Oh I am. The past decade I had hoped they stop drafting qbs since they never really had a good team or system in place for a qb to succeed. Right now, there only option is build thru the draft since really good talent will not want to go to Cleveland. Although, I was hoping they pick J Ramsey at two, even though I don't they would have if they kept it.

I would have gone with the QB, especially given their new head coach's experience. Maybe not day 1 starter, but plenty of potential there. Cleveland's history of draft picks is extremely horrible so it's hard to be positive on these extra picks.

I don't get this trade for the Eagles. It just doesn't make a lot of sense for them.

Of course it does. New regime, during a rebuilding year. If you're going to rebuild the best place to start is the QB position.
Bradford makes them viable this season while Goff/Wentz have the luxury of a full season(maybe more) to digest the playbook and camp out in the film room. No need to throw the incumbent into to the fire, sometimes shown to be a disastrous mistake.
Then if next season is the year of the incumbent, Philly has the option to trade Bradford to reclaim some of those picks.
Also if Philly goes 7-9/8-8, or better, this season, that 2017 first rounder loses some of it's luster. Conversely if Philly just hits the wall and plays down to a top 5 pick...well I can't explain that one away.

The Herschel Walker trade was worse given what Dallas got with their picks. They essentially got three drafts worth if players.

If you get lucky, the Rams will take Wentz and leave you with Goff. But that is a lot of picks to give away in a weak QB year.

Both are very good, but Goff is probably more NFL-ready. Which is fine, bring Wentz(assuming) along slowly.
Every team rolls the dice in the NFL. It's just a question of when, and how much.
I'm sure folks could list 100 reasons to the good, and 100 reasons to the bad. Bottom line is, nobody will know how this pans out for a year or more.
